This Saturday with @outlinez and our friend we decided to ride our bicycles to the Black Sea town of Sozopol.
Sozopol is a beautiful city located on several peninsulas. We hadn't ridden the bikes there in quite some time and I couldn't wait to go.
To go there, we chose a road that goes around Bakrlaka peak and the village of Ravadinovo.
From Rosenets Park, we headed to Bakrlaka.
We passed through the wonderful colors of the forest, which were increasingly moving towards the yellow-orange tones of autumn.
There were incredible views that changed quickly due to the speed with which we cycled.
On the way we found a big fig tree and stopped to rest and look for the delicious fruits.
We didn't manage to find much, but at least we tried.
From here we continued with a long descent to the village of Ravadinovo. There were horses and sheep in the pastures around the village.
After Ravadinovo, we entered Sozopol.
As is tradition, we took a quick photo with the bikes on the Sozopol sign.
We entered the old town of Sozopol.
It was full of many people. It was the last day of the Apollonia Arts Festival. The last performances to be held in the Archaeological Museum were coming up: theater, recital, cinema screenings, concerts.
There were so many shops, restaurants and galleries.
Antiques and various works of art could be purchased.
Homemade ice cream and pancakes were offered on the street.
My friends and I chose to take a break from the long cycling trip to the Fortress Wall in Sozopol, from which reveals a wonderful view of the Black Sea.
The fortress wall, which was found accidentally during the construction of a new house in this part of the city:
It is a fortress wall with a watch tower, used for grain storage in the 5th-6th centuries. The width of the wall is 140 cm. An ancient well was also discovered, as well as a barracks room.

On each of the benches around the fortress wall there were signs with messages about Sozopol.
We spent some time in this lovely favorite part of Sozopol, then got on our bikes and headed back to Burgas.
View from above to the port of Sozopol.
We passed through the Zlatna Ribka and Gradina campsites and near Chervenka it rained, luckily for a short time.
We entered the town of Chernomorets and then it rained harder and we had to stop and wait for it to pass.
We continued cycling but it was already muddy and wet.
It was now pleasantly cool and the sky was so beautiful.
We came home in the dark, satisfied and pleasantly tired from over 70 km. cycling.
