I would totally agree with this. There are certain things I wouldn't have seen myself learning but with advancement in technology, comes personal growth and advancement too.
True some things requires calculated risks and do not really give room for unjustified mistakes.
True! This days there are many ways to to learn something new or advance on what we already know to keep up with the changing technology. And the nice thing about this is that information is easily accessible, one doesn't have to learn only through formal learning institutions.
