Now that's a fun afternoon! There was an ice cream store up in Wilmington along the riverfront that I would go to when up that way. It was always fun and they had good milkshakes. New owners changed it, though, and now I'm left without a go-to ice cream spot. Is sad.

It is indeed. We have lost most locally owned businesses; the traditional places that offered quality products and great customer service.
Sometimes we get new nice-looking places; other times we're just left with the ruins of the old places.
Was that Wilmington, Indiana?
It was Wilmington, Delaware. I'm about a 20 minute drive south of it. It has a really nice Riverfront with some shops and a nice bike path, but that's about it. With the exception of the museum district, the rest of the city is sadly rather decrepit.
Oh. I see. Sorry about that. That has happened to many towns. In most cases the big malls or mega stores drove small stores out of business
