Living without electricity is something I find inconceivable at the moment. It may sound silly, but I couldn't live in a world without electricity for several reasons.
I live in an area where power outages are quite common, the infamous 'blackouts'. It drives me crazy, especially in the summer! The heat is unbearable at this time of year, and the mosquitoes seem to take even more advantage of the situation to bite and annoy us. Without electricity, there's no fan, no air conditioning. It's pure suffering when the power goes out and I feel completely uncomfortable. The heat takes over everything and the nights become long and unbearable. The mosquitoes are relentless, and without the protection of fans or repellents, it only gets worse.
Winter is no less complicated. Here in Brazil, most showers are electric. In other words, it's impossible to take a cold shower in the middle of winter. Especially for me, who loves a nice hot shower. The feeling of a hot shower is comforting, something that helps me relax and start the day well. Without electricity, this small but essential part of my daily routine would be devastated.
Another thing is that I am afraid of the dark! HAHAHAHA I would live in constant fear, in a state of apprehension and terror. A night without light is oppressive to me and makes me feel very insecure. Every shadow seems threatening and the lack of light makes the house a scary place. Electric light not only illuminates the environment, but also brings a sense of security and tranquility that is essential to my well-being.
Electricity is also essential to keep our food fresh in the refrigerator, to cook in a practical and quick way, and to use the electronic devices that make our lives easier. Communication, work, and entertainment depend on electricity. To be without it is to lose a large part of our daily functionality and comfort.
Yes, living without electricity is definitely not an option for me. I'm not ready to face a world without electricity. I'm going to pass this experience on!
