As always I hope you are doing well and if not, remember that "this too shall pass" because all good or bad experiences add up to make us stronger and a little wiser. It is part of living life and in the end we are the ones who decide to take the best or the worst out of each situation.
Friday September 23 was my 49th birthday. Even though I had a thousand things to do, I tried to plan to enjoy and celebrate my life because I have many things to thank God for. One of them, and the most important one, is that I am alive and awake every morning. I am thankful for my family. Even though we are not perfect and we have a million differences, we support each other when we need it. We try not to repeat patterns and be a good example for the new generation. May the younger ones feel that we are there for them and that we love them deeply even in the distance. By the way, one of my wishes for my 50th birthday is to celebrate with all my family, especially my sisters, nieces and my mom.
Also, I want to thank for my friends, that although they are not many, they have been people who have shown their affection and support for me in some difficult moments that I have gone through. I hope I am worthy of so much! I want to thank my husband, especially, who is not only my best friend; he is the one who has taken care of me when I have been sick and has put up with my stormy days and my sunny days. From him, I have learned to take the positive out of every bad experience and he has taught me to cultivate a great virtue, patience. Although not everything has been rosy, we have been strengthening our relationship, because after almost 15 years together, there is still a beautiful feeling for each other; that something they call love that, in my opinion, is the backbone that keeps every bond.
My husband's boss gave him the afternoon off for my birthday and coincidentally a cousin came to visit the city and invited us to have Peruvian food for lunch, which was my birthday present. The truth is, I didn't expect to do anything special that day because Fernando and I had to work. The plan was to go out on Saturday, which we also did, but I'll show you later. However, on my birthday things worked out and the whole universe conspired in my favor and I had a wonderful afternoon.

The next day, I continued celebrating at Hotel Enjoy Antofagasta with a gourmet lunch, a gift I asked my husband for. This Hotel is one of the most important and exclusive in the city. Although after the pandemic the quality has dropped a little. However, we received excellent service and attention.
Creamy asparagus-flavored risotto with hints of goat cheese, meat slices and glacé sauce.
4 cheese ravioli with lamb chops with red wine sauce.
Classic vanilla creme brulee with red fruits, biscoti and raspberry agar.
Among other things, I made a cake for one of my clients with Stranger Things decoration. I also wanted to make for myself a Charlotte Cake with vanilla cookies, something quick and easy.
