My clothing mistakes!

I feel like embarrassment is my middle name because I have found myself in lots of embarrassing situations. When it comes to clothing, I have had my fair share of embarrassing, ridiculous and revealing. Unfortunately, I don't have pictures to show because taking pictures is the last thing you do during some of these moments.

The most embarrassing thing I've ever won.

I am a uniform personnel but I do not dress to work in my full uniform. I prefer to wear my white vest over my uniform trousers to work then dress completely once at work.

It happened that on this particular day, I wore my white vest inside out from my house to work and I boarded public transport. I noticed people were stealing glances at me but it never occurred to me to check what I was wearing. Not until I got to the office did a colleague point it out. I felt really embarrassed that I dressed that way as an officer to work.

Another embarrassing thing that happened to me also has to do with my uniform. I love my trousers a little tight so I'll look smarter. It so happened that the day I wore the tight uniform was the day the Commandant decided to drill us on parade. The uniform was tight so I couldn't move my legs up as required for the left and right commands. The parade commander called me out and asked me to raise my legs shouting the orders "Legs up, Legs up, shoulder level, Legs up". I had no choice than to raise the legs to the required level and the next thing I heard was a splitting sound behind. Everyone burst out into laughter. The parade commander afterwards told me that he intentionally did that to use me as a warning to female officers who sew tight uniforms.

The most ridiculous/funny thing I've won.

This is a good ridiculous because the clothing was worn for a purpose. In the university there is something that happens during Student union week and that is rag day. It is a day for students to dress up in rags. They carry a metal tin with coins inside and go around begging for money from people. It is a fun time for students and the money collected is meant for charity. On that day, I wore an afro on my head, a red vest worn inside out with a black bra worn on the vest. My trousers had one leg longer than the other with panties on. It was a long time ago and I have lost the pictures but that ranks as the most ridiculous thing I've ever worn.

The most revealing thing I have ever won.

I had just collected the Ankara gown from my tailor and decided to wear it to church. It was a short ankara ball gown. You can Google to get an idea of what it looks like. The gown was a little above my knees and the only thing I had under was my panties, no tights. All was going well until I needed to cross the road. I had successfully crossed the first lane and was in the middle of the road waiting to cross the second lane but the cars were splitting by and the air they left behind messed with the lower part of my gown raising it above waist level.

I struggled to hold the gown down with my hands but did a poor job as my legs and inner wear were on display. I felt so naked on the road and that was the last time I wore the gown 😀

If you have a similar experience to share, you can check this post for more info.

Legs up, Legs up, shoulder level, Legs up

Ha! I can never get over this story! Your commander must've been quite a piece of work🤣

He was indeed but can you blame him?😀😀😀 I knew better than to dress that way.

True true... Lesson learnt

👍

Your silence would've spoken a lot more than that dreaded thumbs up😂

Hahhahaha. Why dreaded thumbs up? That to me meant you are absolutely correct. Pardon me then

Lolz, I am sorry I laugh. I hope that's not an offense, how do you combine job and blogging?

NSCDC right? I just saluted you... Your experience made me laugh, I can relate pretty well to tight cloths.

I wore tight pant trousers to an interview then, it was very tight and I loved them with my long legs. The bike was throwing me up and down due to potholes, we entered one and I felt something ripped apart but I didn't check with faith that nothing serious happened.

I wanted to alight when I felt air gushing into my thighs, it was then I realized something was wrong. I told the bike to take me back home, I had to dispose the trouser.

It's okay to laugh dearie. Work and blogging! Hmmm, it's not been easy. There are days I find the time and there are days I steal time away from work to blog. It's crazy but what can one do? An extra source of income is needed in this country to survive.

I wanted to alight when I felt air gushing into my thighs, it was then I realized something was wrong. I told the bike to take me back home, I had to dispose the trouser.

Oh my goodness! How embarrassing 😀😀 please did you miss the interview. I hope you didn't because that would have been double jeopardy.

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate your visit. ♥️

You are right sis, it is hard to survive one job in Nigeria. I admire uniforms personally a lot and I have gotten in conversation with them telling me how I didn't put my height to good use.

I went home to change but I didn't get the job, the experience made me laugh out loud.

Yeah with your height, you would have made a very cute uniform personnel but I don't think it is too late.

I'm sorry about the trouser issue and the interview 🤗

That's such an embarrassing moments in the middle of the lane. While putting a gown and going to any free places, you must wear inner for extra protection. Well sometimes choices we make turns into regret but learning is the main process in this field

I learnt that day that it is important to wear inner for extra protection. Experience they say is the best teacher. 😀😀

Believe it or not, clothe fails are one of my fears. 😩
Aw I didn’t know our lovely Zyzy is a uniform personnel and I’m sorry but imagining the Ankara bit made me giggle.

Clothes can mess one up when you don't expect it 😀😀. It's alright to giggle darling. I guess it was almost impossible to read it and not giggle

You're a funny lady, it's very natural at this point to giggle at most of your post hehe

Lmao....I'll take that as a compliment. You want to become my girlfriend that always laugh whenever I'm talking even when I don't think I'm saying anything that is funny. She kinda expects I'll say something funny

The gown experience though 😂
I do love the struggles whenever the breeze come around and girls are struggling with their short gowns 😂😂
What uniform is that though?

Lmao...you must be a bad guy. So when it is windy you look out for girls struggling with their clothes huh! 😀😀

That's civil defence uniform

Not as if I enjoy what I see though 😂...I just love the struggles
Good boy like me

Oh.. okay, it's quite cool
But I want to ask, what would've happened if you refused to raise ya leg up🤷

I would have been punished. You know how it is in the military and paramilitary, you must obey before complain and any disobedience to authority can be termed misconduct.

Hmmmmm.... Okay oh
It's not easy anyway
Goodluck

Oh my God🤣🤣🤣
The short gown was soooooo embarrassing, hahaha...I can imagine the kind of discomfort you felt that day..lolz
I once got embarrassed too in the church one day. I was on a stage singing in the church program, and suddenly I slipped and fell and my zippa tore🙈🙈🙈

Oh my goodness 😀😀😀😀you slipped and fell and your zipper tore? Gush! I can imagine the embarrassment. I hope people didn't laugh at you since it was church. Everyone would have been like sorry o sorry o and even that can be embarrassing.

hehe I wear a kilt on special occasions, and yes we get wind here and yes a true Scotsman wears nothing under his kilt, I have flashed many times haha
The trousers I just knew reading this that it was going to split legs up legs up and there we go!
This was a fun read zyzy:)
How is week 2 going, have you managed to boost a newbie yet, I am struggling to find one to boost that has a post available to be boosted!

You wear a kilt? 😀😀😀 I don't know why i find it funny trying to picture you in a kilt. Please I'd love to see a picture of you in one 😀😀😀. I wonder why you don't wear anything under. You don't wanna be showing off those balls do you 😜

Week two is going fine but little challenges. One of the sassy girls i was to boost yesterday didn't make a post so I had to boost a non member. Today I spent a lot of time searching for a newbie. I finally settled for one although not a newbie but I loved his post. I boosted it but till now the votes are yet to come. I wonder what happened. I feel bad about it and I already dropped a comment on his comment section

Yes I have been boosting people but they are not going through:(

The last one I did finally went through.

Excellent, I did one too, how about task 3, I am late to Hive today so not seen anything yet...

Yes I noticed you are late on hive today. Task three is to boost a community. You and your team mates would have to find a community to boost their posts.

Oh my, that last one is so relatable, I once had sure experience and since then, I always make sure to put on tights when going out 😂.

But the way you describe what you put on for your rag day, I tried to imagine it and I couldn't help but laugh 😂😂🤣🤣, it really looks ridiculous 😄.

Thats why it is called rags day 😄😄 you are supposed to look ridiculous. I don't know if schools still do that now though.

That's true but sometimes I think they are mad oo because their dresses are really scary, some man people won't even put them on 😂.

I'm not sure they still do it oo.

Yes now🙃. It's all part of the fun.

Yeah that's true 😂.
