Thank you very much for participating once again to Mizu No Oto haiku contest!
I waited a long time to publish the results of this edition, because there was a situation of parity in the votes and I wanted to allow time for any other comments.
After many days in which the situation remained unchanged, however, I made the decision to reward everyone who was voted.
This means that there will be no Best Haiku, Best Vote Comment, but three award-winning haikus which are all Popular Choice!

¡Muchas gracias por participar una vez más en el concurso de haiku Mizu No Oto!
Esperé mucho tiempo para publicar los resultados de esta edición, porque había una situación de paridad en las votaciones y quería dejar tiempo para cualquier otro comentario.
Sin embargo, después de muchos días en los que la situación se mantuvo sin cambios, tomé la decisión de recompensar a todos los que fueron votados.
Esto significa que no habrá Mejor Haiku, Mejor comentario de votación, sino tres haikus premiados que son Elección popular.

In Eva's vision, the mushroom is a lonely king, with no kingdom other than himself; but in its being a sovereign, it is born from something ephemeral and casual, a spore carried by the wind... as saying the glory of the world is an illusion.
This is one of the haikus I would have selected among the best, and I see you liked it too.

En la visión de Eva, el hongo es un rey solitario, sin reino más que él mismo; pero en su condición de soberano, nace de algo efímero y casual, una espora llevada por el viento ... como decir que la gloria del mundo es una ilusión.
Este es uno de los haikus que habría seleccionado entre los mejores y veo que a vosotros también le gustó.
The smallest sprout,
a herald of change—

Bertrayo's profile says that he is an English teacher, and I think this is noticeable in the fact that he did not do a translation of his haiku, but wrote two variations adapting them to each of the two languages. This is something that I often find myself doing too, because it is impossible for both metrics and semantic panorama to find a perfect match in different languages.
Where the Spanish version speaks of "the triumph of greenery", the English one is more tragic and speaks of "winter's defeat".
El perfil de Bertrayo dice que es profesor de inglés, y creo que esto se nota en el hecho de que no hizo una traducción de su haiku, sino que escribió dos variaciones adaptándolas a cada uno de los dos idiomas. Esto es algo que también me encuentro haciendo a menudo, porque es imposible que tanto las métricas como el panorama semántico encuentren una combinación perfecta en diferentes idiomas.
Donde la versión española habla de "triunfo del verde", la inglesa es más trágica y habla de "la derrota del invierno"

This is another haiku that I would have chosen from the best of the edition.
Oswaldo always amazes me with his original points of view and his very particular visions of what is seen in the photos of the contest.
The haiku, in its brevity, does not allow indulging in the lyric, but also the simple choice of saying "snow" and not simply "white", and to suggest a small universe whose borders are those of the meadow, identifying with the perception that a mushroom might have, give this haiku a mystical quality (yugen).

Este es otro haiku que habría elegido entre los mejores de la edición.
Oswaldo siempre me asombra con sus puntos de vista originales y sus visiones muy particulares de lo que se ve en las fotos del concurso.
El haiku, en su brevedad, no permite dejarse llevar por la letra, sino también la simple elección de decir "nieve" y no simplemente "blanco", y sugerir un pequeño universo cuyos bordes son los de la pradera, identificándose con la percepción que podría tener un hongo, dale a este haiku una cualidad mística (yugen).

Gracias @bananafish, es un honor estar al lado de @bertrayo y @oacevedo compartiendo este cuadro. Debo confesar que me considero adicta a los haiku. No pasa día sin que escriba alguno o al menos lo piense. Todo cuanto me rodea es motivo para crear uno. Antes de Mizu No Oto no los conocía. Has hecho un buen trabajo mostrando al mundo este arte.
