Unlike the apostle Paul, who wrote to certain churches or people, the author of this letter addresses Christians living throughout the world (s,1,1). The author considers that the Christian is the new people of Israel. This broad vision of the church has led to this letter, and that of the apostles Peter and John, being called universal letters < see Peter and John read it to learn about God and Jesus. The teachings in this letter are more practical than doctrinal. The author insists that Christians should not differentiate between rich and poor, but obey the most important commandment that God has given us, and that is to love his neighbor as himself (2,8). He immediately goes on to clarify that trusting in God is not enough, but we must also do what God wants, he then gives the example of Abraham, who demonstrated his trust in God<, with everything he did, and through everything he did 8s,2,22). He also reminds them that wars come because of selfishness and envy, and therefore encourages them to be humble and love God (s 4,1-10). He warns the rich that they should not accumulate wealth, keeping the salary they must pay their workers, because that money will accuse them before God, (s,5,1-4), finally, brothers, he encourages all Christians to confess all their sins to each other and to stop sinning so that God saves them, it is important to reflect, in everything we read and speak, brothers, let us be attentive to the prophecies that are being fulfilled in our own time.
