What's up Hive folk?!

Just wanted to introduce myself. I am a ₿itcoin maximalist who, after unsuspectingly being orange-pilled, has decided to devote my work to open-source decentralized technologies 🚀

the one and true @buttcoins , someone I'm honored to call a friend, is probably the only person who has gotten me to join a social network in years as my tendency has been to unsubscribe, but that's been with the attention-sucking parasitic platforms. I am inspired by all I am seeing!

A bit about myself, I got into programming through engineering & physics and then entered back into the world through web development making it a goal to find a stack of dependable software that can replicate a common layman's digital "stack", but through self-hosted open-source alternatives to serve local communities. I believe in a free and equal economy for all to realize their inherent value. Currently my goals is to lay roots and start a land project somewhere in the world.

Thanks to the unique environment that is the Lake Atitlán community in Guatemala, the "Bitcoinmat" project, a 2-way KYC-free Bitcoin ATM, emerged. It was inspired by the Mastering Lightning by the famous Andreas M. Antonopoulos where the Lamassu open-source Bitcoin ATM was mentioned. It currently resides in San Marcos La Laguna. I have a strong belief that the path of least resistance from the old world to the new can be probed out with the help of these machines by offering an accessible on/off ramp, staying true to Bitcoin philosophy, to people who stand to benefit from it the most.

Awesome to be part of the grass-roots movement that is happening around the world, it's certainly an exciting time to be alive. Happy to be a part of this community and looking forward to connecting more with like-minded people so we can continue building cool futuristic shit 🚀

If there are any developers, especially lightning devs ⚡, but also javascript, etc who are interested in the Bitcoinmat Open-Source project, feel free to drop a note. I am still learning the ropes of this Hive ecosystem.

Also any (neo)vim psychos around here?

Hey @padreug, welcome to Hive! It's great to have more developers here. I'm not a developer myself—at least not yet—but I work with some on various projects in Hive. I'm following you because I'm interested in seeing what you have to share.

Greetings from Mexico!

Btw, I met @buttcoins a couple of years ago and he is a great guy!

I've only just started participating on Github with open-source projects because it can be quite intimidating dealing with git and all.
I personally am obsessed with coding in a neovim environment, particularly, LazyVim. It's almost like playing a video game 😆
I tried crossing over to 3speak, but I get sent to a weird redirect that returns an empty JSON object 🤷‍♂️nice! great to connect @eddiespino :) Yeah, I'd love to start posting some content on coding coming up from a non-formal CS background.

edit: i see now they're having server issues, will check it out when it's back up 😎

Welcome mate ^_^

A @buttcoins friend is a friend.

Building cool futuristic shit sounds just like rocketing.
I'm not a programmer or developer in any tech related stuff about Hive or similar. But I'm very curious in all if it and in my short time on Hive, I have understood tremendously more about Blockchain, decentralisation, Dapps, et cetera than I did before, stumbling in the dark. Hive is a great platform in my opinion. There is place for everyone. I hope you have found your new playground.

Lightning devs? @brianoflondon, are you one?
