A Portrait of The Busy City
Nowadays, every city has Mass Rapid Transit as one of the most reliable public transportation. It is very useful for workers in the capital city because using this MRT will save time. They do not have to meet red lights or traffic jams on various sides in the capital city of Jakarta. Indeed, among other public transportation, MRT has a slightly more expensive fare, it all depends on the distance. The further the distance, you will pay more. This is certainly different from public transportation such as the Transjakarta busway, which no matter how far the distance, the fare will remain the same.
In Jakarta, MRT is very popular even though the number of users is not as many as Commuter Line users. Currently, MRT still only serves two lines. This is a shorter line compared to MRT in other countries. However, using the MRT is more comfortable than the Commuter Line which is always crowded. This is also a solution to avoid traffic jams along the Sudirman arterial road.

This is the Blok M MRT Station, one of the biggest stops. This station is only a few stations before the last station, Lebak Bulus. Interestingly, this station is connected to one of Jakarta's legendary malls, Blok M. So you only need to exit the station and go straight into the mall. So, this is one of my experiences when I wanted to go to Blok M Mall but didn't want to meet the traffic jam after office hours, it would take quite a long time if I used the bus. So I chose the MRT, one of the most comfortable public transportation.
I remember, when the local government was just planning to build this MRT, my workplace was invited to witness its construction. So we took a tour along the MRT line from Bundaran Senayan to Sudirman. It was an experience I will never forget and I feel blessed for it. Now, I can enjoy it.
