I'm the type who loves trading, as it is what gives me joy. My joy can come from it when I'm selling enough of the goods I'm trading on.
Most people who delve into the realm of trading do not have manners, and maintaining customers is what they lack in their lives. To be sincere, without customers, no business will function, and without a suitable approach, no customer would want to patronize you no matter what.
So, I'm just like someone who was born with joy when it comes to trading. I have seen so many people today who have manners but place their items on the high side. People still patronize them just because of the hood manner of approach.
Some years back, when I was looking for a shop, it gave me a tough time before seeing one. My husband was not having enough as we just got married. He wanted to set me up for a business, but he had just little to give. He advised me to start a petty business at the front of my shop, which I somehow disagreed with, but after much pressure, I agreed. That week, when I planned to buy some goods just to start with, my neighbor started that same business. Maybe she was putting an ear to whatever my husband and I were discussing; who knows?
I could not buy the items again. My husband came up with another idea. “Why can't you teach I'm a school until we find a place for you to start up your business?” He asked. But I did not love teaching, as I can never derive joy from it. I rejected that offer as I was very sure of starting up a great business.
When he saw that I was not going by what he said, I had to borrow a huge amount of money from his workplace. He did not tell me but just handed the money to me. I was overwhelmed. I thanked him so much, but my joy was incomplete.
One Saturday, when he was less busy, we started searching for a shop for rent. We searched for the ones that would be close by, but unfortunately, the ones we saw were so high in cost. If we put the money into such a shop, we may end up not folding up the business.
My husband suggested a caravan, which I agreed with. At least we would just be searching for a little land to rent. The next day, which was a Sunday, one guy my husband informed me regarding the caravan called and asked my husband to come just to check the caravan he had seen. It was a good one when I saw it. My husband had to buy it. We searched for a space to place it nearby. That same Sunday, we got a space nearby.
The next Saturday, we mounted it, and the following week, I bought some goods. However, the money left was not enough after purchasing the caravan. I had to manage what I had to start up a business.
My first day was a “boom”. I sold a huge amount of money. That was more than my expectations. My joy knows no bounds at that moment. My husband was delighted to see me in a happy mood.
After a few months, my shop began to increase in size. I was making good sales and had a tangible number of good customers. Some were buying on credits but would pay attention to the appointment and said time.
After a year, our landlord gave us a quit notice. He said he was going to use his house. We were down from happiness to sadness. We began to search for another one. In less than two weeks, we saw two rooms and a parlor self-contained for rent. I wanted to give him some money but my husband refused to collect a dime from me. He used his money to rent the house.
After packing in, the transportation fare became a huge problem for us. Just like tragedy, someone later opened a shop selling the same items opposite my shop. A few weeks later, another one opened immediately beside my shop with the same items. My joy of having good sales came down to a sad face.
My daily sales were not as buoyant as before. My husband suggested we move the caravan to our present location. I was not in agreement initially, but he pressured me to the extent of not rejecting it. I agreed and pulled the caravan out of the place to put it in a new location. This time, it was just a stone's throw from home.
Just as if I were born with good luck, the sales I was making in this second place were way more than the former place. My heart was overwhelmed. Presently, I'm in that same location, and I'm not dreaming of relocating until we build our house.

You have had interesting experiences in what you like to do, sales. And how nice that you have persisted despite the obstacles, that says a lot about your strength. It's good to follow your instincts and the signs. You will do very well.
My daughter also loves sales and has had similar experiences and continues to do what makes her happy.
Greetings @abigail04
