I like this story, @kennysplash. As the action moved toward a conclusion, I did suspect Jude...not that he was an obvious spy, but I am a skeptical person :))

There is nothing pat about your plot. I don't think I've ever read a story exactly like this before, a dance troupe with a spy and then the director decides to perform what amounts to a folk dance, something that everyone knows. Dancing is art, and art without heart has no value (in my book). This story is about the essence of art, about its ability to bring people together, to move them. The competitors don't get it. They think it's about winning. That's just a bonus.
