Almost everyone, if not everyone, will have one thing or the other they will want to change or acquire as they start a new year.
This was the same with Solo, but he failed to reach his goals times without number, and it made him sad, but he never gave up.
"I had just two things I wanted to improve on as we started a new year" Solo said, "One was to about my financial life, I spent extravagantly and found it difficult to save for the rainy days, I ended up past years with nothing in my bank account" Solo continues, "My second resolution was about my spiritual life, I wanted to finish up the whole Bible in a year which means that I will be reading 3-4 Chapters every day"
Unfortunately, Solo couldn't reach even halfway of the two resolutions he made, and he wanted to give up but last year 2023 December He decided to try once more but this time "I didn't just make resolutions I added steps to overcome the hurdles and this helped me" Solo said.
"I decided to read about people who set financial goals and how they were able to reach the goals, I also visited some people I know who set spiritual goals and achieved them to get some survival tips," Solo said, "This took a lot of my time, but at the end it worth it" Solo added.
"I met with Mr Ojo, he's financially successful, and I was convinced that he will have something to tell me that will help me to reach my new year resolution,"Solo said.
"Mr. Ojo told me that relapse doesn't mean failure but rather it shows that you are still trying, if you are not trying to do better, there will be no relapse," Solo said, "I was confused; could it mean that I must fail before I succeed? Solo asked himself.
"Mr. Ojo, please, what should I do? I don't want to fail this coming year again, I want to end up with something reasonable in my account," Solo told Mr. Ojo.
"You can do better, Mr Ojo replied, Just tell yourself I don't have money." Solo was confused, how?
Mr Ojo told him some tips that help him grow his finances and always end the year with a fixed amount of money.

Solo told himself "I will have to be extra careful when it comes to how and when I spend money," Solo also told himself "The lyrics of my song will be there is no spending money"
The year started and Solo had a target for every week and he was meeting up till the middle of the year, he was called for a visit, and he went to relax with friends, Solo said "This is where I had a test to show if am going to reach my target" "Friends where just thinking how and why the sudden change and I started having the similar feelings I had previous years that failed me, I started thinking I would replace the money which I know I never did in the past year"
Solo said, "I told myself there is no spendable money." "I also told my friends that I don't have spendable money".
Solo had to have a change of mind when it came to recreational activities. Yes, he had some money for recreation, but self-discipline helped him to spend just what he had kept aside for recreation, he worked with his budget, which wasn't easy for him.
But his goal was his focus and he was able to save 500$ at the end of that year.
Unfortunately, the second resolution to complete the whole Bible in a year he couldn't because he also failed to apply some tips that were given to him by someone who had achieved such a goal.
"I started well, but I will always sleep off while reading the second chapter because reading have never been among my to-do list all this years, I wasn't concentrating,I had lots of distractions and I didn't like all that," Bojo said.
Solo went back to see Mr. Philip who gave him tips on how to achieve his spiritual goals, and Mr. Phillip assured him that he will get better if he doesn't give up.
*I still need to work on time management to help me reach my spiritual goal and that requires self-discipline and self-control," Solo said, I also needed to get more things to achieve that, like touch light that I can use if power fails me, I think I wasn't fully prepared that why I didn't reach my spiritual goal" Solo added.
"Now it's December again I will go again with extra cautiousness to improve not to relapse, I hope to do better this coming year, I am more determined than ever" Solo concluded.
