Ken and Victoria had dated for a year, they were both so in love with each other or so it seemed to her—they stayed up till the dead of the night, chattering and laughing over what no one else could understand, going out on dates, they had the greatest time of their lives. But the relationship became shaky when Ken started behaving strangely, Ken cut down on the way he texted, called and barely went out on dates with Victoria.
He claimed his job was now demanding a lot of his time, unlike before and that he barely had time for himself even. Victoria didn't mind as she tried to understand him.
But Ken's attitude worsened. Ken, what's happening? Our relationship is falling apart. I'm managing to hold it all together, but I don't know for how long I can cope Victoria said as she bashed into Ken's home and flung her bag on the sofa. Victoria, i've already explained my reasons for this distance, i’m buried in work. I'll make it up to you, please Ken said.
But Ken had said the exact same thing a month ago and Victoria wasn't having it nor was she going to let things die down.

Hours ran into days and days into weeks since last the loverbirds talked. In those weeks, Victoria managed to live by, distracting herself with work, parties and all.
***Lillian, do you think i should put a call across? Do you think I was too harsh on Ken? Maybe his job was really taking a toll on him and I was just being self-centered, maybe….." Victoria said halfway as she burst into tears.

**I'm sorry I missed your call earlier, Victoria but can we please meet up at St. Laurent’s restaurant in the next one hour?
Victoria scoffed and blurted out… Why?

I asked for space then because I didn't know how to face you, so I thought of sorting things out so I do not hurt you. I'm sorry I would have told you everything from the onset. Please, I need you back in my life. Everything is fine now and my parents want to meet you
Victoria was happy that her love was back. A butt-dial ended up saving a relationship that was far gone.

How did Ken think Victoria would believe him? Its just too obvious that his mind was off, his actions shows that he got someone, but am happy Victoria moved on.
Ken should have let her know the situation from the onset, it would have cleared the misunderstandings and cancel out the fears.
