After several months of farming airdrops, I was finally rewarded by $Dogs. My joy knew no bounds when the coin listed and my wallet was fluctuating between $150 and $157. At last, a coin has given me reason to smile and it was not hamster nor tapswap which drained my fingers during the endless tappings on my screen.

I didn't cash out my money immediately, I felt it would get to $160 so I watched it for almost ten minutes then suddenly I saw it drop to $148. My heart skipped and my prayers changed. I just wanted it to get back to $150 or slightly above so I watched a little bit more and immediately I saw it get to $153, I cashed out and converted to dollars, so that my money would be stable.
"Jude, please help me convert my dollars to Naira" I pleaded with Jude, my classmate and friend who had made so much money from crypto and airdrops. He made about $560 from $Not and I was furious with him for not letting me know about the prospects of such a game. He referred me to every coin afterwards but all we received was dust and I was already loosing faith until $Dogs rewarded my efforts.
"Alright bro, I will send you my wallet address, once I receive it, I will send you the equivalent in Naira(#)" Jude responded. I expected such a response from him, he always liked accumulating his money in foreign currency.
I could not follow in Jude's footsteps because I was already very broke at the time and my final exams were approaching. I needed enough money to be able to eat properly, pay for my project and some fees that were coming up as the exams drew nearer.
Jude sent his wallet address, I transferred $153 to him.
"I just sent it" I announced while showing him the transaction on my phone. Immediately he confirmed it he sent me #260,000.
"Thanks brother,I have received it" I said. I proceeded to go eat some nice food in celebration of my win.
I went straight to Café 97 which I have been avoiding because their food is always more expensive than others but admittedly more delicious and nutritious.
"Susan" I called out smiling at the waitress who always treated me properly "bring me rice and chicken with hollandia yoghurt, I am very hungry".
"Alright sir, I am coming" she said.
Within a few minutes, a sumptuous plate of rice decorated with the laps of a big chicken was sitting on the table before me.
I ate to my fill while gulping the yoghurt which I couldn't finish.
"Your bill is #3000" Susan said.
"I am sending it right away" I replied, flipping out my phone to make a transfer. I had their account number saved in my mobile app already.
"Your account is blocked, you cannot make transactions. Visit any of our branches nationwide or call our customer care line to resolve this. Thank you". This was displayed on my screen.
I was shocked, surprised and ashamed. How to pay for my food was my priority so had to plead with a friend in the restaurant to pay for me after explaining my issue.
I narrated my problem to Jude who advised me to rush to the bank before they close and sort it out.
"Can I use your car? I will fuel it while coming back" I promised.
"No problem, just ensure you don't scratch it, else you will have to repair any damages" Jude warned.
On getting to the bank, the parking lot was filled so I decided to park the car outside.
On getting to the customer service personnel, they requested for my ID card and Utility bill so as to upgrade my account and allow me access. I needed to go get the utility bill from school and so I rushed out to go so I could rectify the problem same day.
Alas! The car was no where to be found.
"I parked a car here about thirty minutes ago. What happened?" I asked the security man, visibly scared and angry.
"The MOT people towed the vehicle to their office, for wrong parking" the security man said. "We looked for the owner but could not find you"
MOT stands for ministry of transport and their workers have been frustrating motorists all in the name of road safety and maintenance.
"Where's their office" I asked.
I was directed to their office and so I began another journey in my lack of time.
On getting there, I saw the car and I was relieved a bit but they insisted I must pay a fine of #20,000 before they would release the car to me.
I pleaded with them while narrating various touching stories so as to appeal to their conscience but they were unmoved.
I could not go back to school without the car, Jude would not take it from me.
"Jude, please I need your help again" I said when he picked up.
"I will send you an account number, please send #20,000 to it. Then find any utility bill receipt in my room, take a picture and send it to me. I need these two favours for my account to be unblocked"
"Alright bro, I will send it because I know how much you got from $Dogs, make sure you pay as soon as you sort your bank issue" Jude emphasized.
"What a day? It never rains but it pours" I said when I reflected on my experience and heaved a sigh of relief.
Till today, Jude does not know the truth about my experience that very day and why I needed the extra money.

What miseries! I doubt if you were able to enjoy your rice and chicken laps well. This was a great read.
Well, I didn't actually. Surviving that day was enough testimony for me.
