Yet another unanswered question

Kuro is a handsome young man whose mother suddenly disappeared when he was just six years old. Have been struggling to find out why his mother will just leave him and disappear without taking him along.

It's that the mother doesn't love him anymore or did he offend his mother that made her so angry she left. These were the questions running through the young Kuro's head.

One day, Kuro goes to meet his father to find out the whereabouts of his mother and when she is coming back cause he believes that the father should know about her whereabouts.

Unknown to him, his father had been grieving and couldn't move on because the pain of losing his wife had left a gaping hole in his heart.

Father, please where is my mom and when is she coming back, Kuro asked his father

Come sit, my child. I don't know when your mother is coming back, but she will always love you, his father said to him, not knowing the right words to use to console his son.

But did she leave because of me? Kuro asked, his eyes peeling with curiosity at his father.

No, you were everything to your mother, he answered

If I was everything to her, then why didn't she take me along, she hates me. Kuro said weeping profusely.

The father was confused as to what is the best word to use and calm him down cause, at this point, he lacked words to convince him that his mother didn't leave because of him and that she didn't hate him.

He couldn't tell him that he argued with his mother the night before she disappeared. They had a fight over her taking up a job in another country; he had refused her to take the job because the distance was too far, and she insisted on taking it. They both went back and forth hurling insults, arguing unending without coming to any compromise before they went to bed very angry at each other.

Only for him to wake up in the morning and couldn't find his wife again. He had searched everywhere, went to the police after 24 hours to report a missing person, and even went as far as visiting the place where the wife had said she got the job, but all to no avail.

Police have investigated the matter, but they too, couldn't find any lead as to where she would have disappeared. It was as if she just vanished from the earth without leaving a clue.

As Kuro grew older, the questions about his mother's disappearance intensified in his mind; he scoured the internet with her name and old picture; he even asked their old neighbor if anyone saw her the day she disappeared from the house, but none seemed to have seen her.

He decided to visit every physicist's home if he could find her there, but she wasn't. He took the address of the company where his mother had gotten the job after he must have pestered the father for a trace as to where she might have gone, still, there was nothing, all his efforts were fruitless, and the truth remained elusive

One day, as Kuro sat on his window frame, gazing out, a wave of sadness swept past him, and he whispered to himself.

Mummy, where are you? Will I ever see you again? He said to himself. Then it seemed like a tiny voice spoke to him, "I am sorry, I left you, but I will always love you". He turned sharply to look at where the voice was coming from but saw nothing. He concluded that it would be his imagination playing tricks on him.

Kuro lost hope of finding his mother and decided to visit his grandmother to know how she was faring. Since his mother went missing, he hadn't seen her. When he got to his grandma's house, she was delighted to see him.

After making sure his comfortable, his grandma handed him a letter on top of it was written "FOR MY SON KURO".

Kuro hurriedly opened the letter, almost tearing it to pieces; his eyes were blurry from the tears threatening to fall out. He reads the letter aloud as if he doesn't read it out; he won't understand it.

Dear kuro,

I know that you are wondering where I will be. I am doing well, my son, but I had to leave you and your father because of unresolved family issues. I don't want you to look for me. Just leave your best life and make your mother proud. Hopefully, one day, we will reunited again.

                                      Yours darling mother
                                       Furo

Kuro was happy and sad at the same time, happy that his mother was okay but sad cause although his questions have been answered, the mysterious family issues that made his mother leave have left yet another unanswered question in his heart. Till he meets his mother again, he will try to remain happy.

At some point I had the narrative that death snatched kuro's mum but then it was clear that she left for some reasons. A horrible thing for a mother to do... Hmm, kuro must have been through a whole lot.

Greetings!!

At least she should have reached out to her son, instead of waiting for that long

I can feel Kuro's pain in this story. It's so heartbreaking to think of a child carrying such unanswered questions. This is an interesting story.

His mother didn't try at all. I can only imagine his pain

I think the most difficult pain to handle is that of being abandoned by the people you love without any explanations. I'm happy Kuro could find some peace.

Thank you dear

Kuro insisted so hard, until he found his mother's whereabouts. Even if she is distant from him, have a good night.

I thought she died 🥺
