A wise man once said “ Life without adventures is like pizza without cheese”.
This was the start of a new promising, scary and fulfilling adventure for young Alvin. Few months ago he relocated to another country with his parents because his father got a better paying job in the country. He was enrolled in one of the most prestigious high school in the states, he was excited and nervous when he heard about it. Alvin is a very imaginative boy, he uses his imagination skills on almost everything or everyone he came across with. He day dreamt about the school and the new friends he was going to make, his parents were happy to see so much excitement in him.
“ He takes after me ”, his father said to his mom one day.
“ No he takes after me, i gave birth to him after all”, his mother argued.
Alvin's dreams were finally coming to reality, the long anticipated day was here. Alvin got up very early, freshened up and put on one of his best shirts accompanied with a bow tie, he styled his hair fashionably and put on his goofy glasses giving him the complete look of a nerd. His mom packed his lunch as he ate breakfast.
“ Are you sure you're going to be ok?,
do you want me to accompany you? ”. His mom asked after he was done eating.
“ No mom, i'll be fine trust me, remember am a teenager now ”.
“ Ok, i trust you ”, his mom replied back and kissed him on his forehead.
“ Have a nice day !!! ”, she shouted after him as he ran out of the house.
His dad dropped him in front of the school gate....
“ Do you want me to walk you inside buddy ? ”, asked his dad.
“ No i can handle this dad ”.
His dad finally drove off after giving him some advice and probably some pet talk.
Alvin walked inside the school and opened the hallway door, he took in the scenario immediately. The hallway was a like a busy market place, students and some teachers filled the hall, he moved forward trying to see if anyone will notice him , after covering some pace he noticed that everyone seemed to mind their business, he imagined himself approaching some of the students and Introducing himself but ended up being snubbed or laughed at because of his looks.
“ This is harder than i thought ” he thought to himself. He became nervous and rushed towards the door in front of him, ignoring the label bolding written on
the door “NERDS ONLY”.

He pushed the door open and met a couple of eyes starring at him, he made a move to leave the room but was stopped by one of the pupils seated in the room.
“ You look like one of us, what's your name ? ”. The boy asked
“ I'm Alvin Norman, i recently enrolled in this school ”. Alvin answered him
“ Come sit here so we can get to know you better ”, said a chubby looking girl with goofy glasses too.
Alvin took a deep breath and sat next to the girl. He Introduced himself properly and vise versa.
“ I hope they'll like me so we that we can all be friends" , Alvin thought
inwardly as he told them about his previous adventures before relocating.
Soon they were all chitchatting and laughing with each other as if they've been friends for a long time.
