Hmmm, I love how you spun this story. Will there be more?. Well written story, suspenseful and spooky too. I enjoyed reading it.

Chester froze, his face pale

I thought he said it was his job😂. As I was reading that part, I let my intrusive thought, when I imagined the ladder he was suppose to use wasn't there anymore 😮. What would Chester do then, "its what I do". Now, I feel there is more to Frank, I feel like he knows something but he is no spilling.

Nicely written well done!
