"Please eat something, you haven't eaten anything since yesterday. It can affect your health."
"That's all I want! I don't want to stay alive. This life has become miserable for me, even sometimes I think that this world is not a place for me to live."
"Sheena! Please have some patience. I know it's hard for you, but nothing could be done before Almighty's will."
Sheena said this to her cousin at her aunt's funeral. She suffered a lot in her life. Her father died before her birth and she was only 12 when she lost her mother in a car accident. Now she was living with her aunt for ten years, but sadly her aunt also died as she was a cancer patient. Sheena was mourning this loss, as after her mother, it was only her aunt who supported her as her child. Her aunt took her to take admission to the university and also encouraged her to do her best in her life.
But life becomes even more difficult for Sheena after her aunt. No one in her relatives was ready to keep her in their home. Finally, it was decided that Sheena would stay in the hostel and her uncle would bear all the expenses till her studies. In the hostel, Sheena met with Kiran who was her roommate. Soon they become friends and Sheena finds some relief in her company. Kiran was used to supporting her in every kind of situation and she never let her down.
One day, they were in the market to buy some necessary items, when Kiran dropped her wallet unknowingly. When they reached home, Kiran realized that her wallet was not in her bag. She searched for it, but couldn't find it. She was worried.
"How would I bear my whole month's expenses? "
" I think you dropped it in the market, while we were checking the prices of items. We should go back to check it."
" Someone would be enjoying a good meal with my money now, so it's of no use." She said sadly.
Just then, she received a call on the telephone from reception. In which the receptionist informed her that someone had come to meet her. When she went downstairs, it was a boy named Saqib.
"Mam! I have your important thing which I found in the market. I came here to give it back to you."
Saqib found the wallet in the market and from her I'd card, he got to know about her address. Kiran was happy to receive her wallet again and she thanked and praised Saqib for his honesty.
"Good people still exist in this world, strange!" Sheena said this Kiran.
"Yes! You are right, I am also amazed by his act."
After some days, Kiran was on her way to the market when she happened to meet with Saqib. They talked for a few minutes and Saqib offered her a coffee in the restaurant, which she happily accepted. They also exchanged their numbers and soon became good friends. They started meeting each other at the weekends and finally one day Saqib proposed to her to get married. Kiran happily accepted his proposal. But they decided that they would enclose their relationship with their families after their studies.
One day, Kiran invited Saqib to their hostel at midnight. Strangers were not allowed to visit the hostel, so she kept it hidden from everyone. Sheena tried to stop her from doing so, but Kiran didn't hear her.
"It can be embarrassing if someone gets to know about it. Think again."
" Nothing is going to happen, just chill."
She never heard Sheena and did what she wanted. At midnight, when Saqib arrived, another girl was watching him from the window. She informed the manager about him. Kiran was caught red-handedly, but she played a wise move. She put the whole blame on Sheena.
"He came to meet Sheena." She pointed towards her.
Sheena couldn't believe, what she heard. She was not expecting this from her close friend, who stood by her in her difficult time. Sheena tried to defend herself, but no one believed her. The manager eliminated her and ordered them to leave the hostel in early mourning. They sent her in a servant quarter with her luggage. Sheena was in deep pain. In the morning, the guard came to ask her to leave the hostel, but he saw a terrible thing. She committed suicide by hanging herself with the fan. Sheena's heart becomes fragile, after facing continuous traumas in her life. She couldn't bear this damage to her sanity and decided to leave the world with all its pains.
The End!
Thanks.

I don't blame Sheena for the way she took her life. Few people in life can pass through what she passed through and still retain their sanity. I blame her chameleonic friend. I feel if Sheena had held on maybe something good could have happened to her later in the future. While there's life there's hope. Thanks for writing.
