Run, run!! Keep running towards the door; that way we have a chance of surviving this dungeon. I stood as I watched some of the captain men run towards the door. Who knew the last stage of the scenario would be as dangerous as this?
It has been 15 years since the world we know fell into the hands of the overseers. They call themselves that and give us scenarios or missions to complete, and at the end of all missions, we are given a reward. I, Kim Dong, who was just a commoner in the kingdom, had no one; I was considered the poorest man among the poor people, and this title has made it difficult for me to find a lover. The best I could do was work on people's farms and then get back some of the farm produce during harvest time as a reward, but this phase of my life changed when the overseers came to our world.
I was on the farm making rigs when the sky suddenly became dark. There were purple and red lightening in the sky with a strong wind that took off some local men's roofs. A crake appeared in the firmament, and this being walked through it. They wore long red robes like those of a priest. It was hard to see their faces, but one thing was sure: Their eyes were glowing; they had longer hands than those of humans; their skin was white and pale; they had bigger foot; and a short horn in the middle of their forehead.
The overseer in a purple robe, who looked smaller compared to the rest, finally spoke, saying
“Humans, the reason for your existence, which you have all ignored for the past 3,000 years, shall be made known to you today. You have lived your life the way you want and have selected leaders to rule over you, but I tell you now that there is no such thing as a leader, for everything was created in this world to be equal, especially humans. From now on, you will do the bidding of your true rulers and complete the task that is given to you. At the end of this task, you will be given a reward, and if you’re lucky enough, you will find some ruined artefacts that will help you succeed in other missions. Now, the true human potential will be unlocked, and you will know how to use your hidden magical power”
At the snap of the overseer finger, a bright light shined out of every human in the kingdom, the knowledge of how to use magic was immediately implanted in us. At that moment, the rules of the world changed; the weakest became the strongest, and the wealthiest people came to the mercy of the strong. Some wealthy families were lucky because they had members who possessed some of the strongest power in the kingdom. Since that time they came to the present moment, 15 years have passed, and nothing seems special about me.
As for me, the light that came out of me was not so bright. I guess even if the rules of the world were changed, some things about me would never change. The ability that was unlocked inside me was the ability to learn and recreate. The ability was so useless during the first mission; there was nothing to learn when my life was on the line during the first mission. I joined a party of seven men to raid a dungeon and get some rare items from it. My duty was to carry their bags while they raided the dungeon, and at the end I would get a token from them. The first mission ended and that’s how I have been surviving but during my last mission.
During this mission, we stumble into an empty, dark room. The room is empty, yet I sense the presence of a being among us. The captain of the team put on a touch with his fire attribute magic, and then we saw the status that was in the room with us. There were 12 statuses that looked like the exact image of the overseers. At first, this gave us a creepy feeling as many of the teammates tried to run outside the room. Run, run, run. Keep running towards the door. That way, we can escape this dungeon but on getting closer to the door, the door closed with a loud sound that put out all the flames.
Immediately after the door closed, a white light began to illuminate from the status, then one of the status spoke.
You humans never cease to amaze me. How did you find our resting place, and do you think you can kill us in our sleep?
At that point, I knew that the overseers were not gods if they knew that they could be killed by humans. The captain and his team immediately bow down, pleading for their lives.
It was a mistake. It was a mistake. We never knew this was your resting place. Have mercy on us.
And what about the man standing?” the overseer's status with the red light asked. It was then that I realised I did not bow down with the others. I began to walk towards the status, which emitted purple light. It was like a memory in me was unlocking, which made me know that in that form the overseers couldn’t do anything. I continue walking towards the purple light.
Stay back, stay back. screamed purple light, but I kept walking towards it. I raised my hands up and touched the head of the status. In a blink of an eye, there was a great wind. I began to learn all the powers of all overseers and how to use them. The wind was so great, I couldn’t stop it. My eyes became blurry, but I could see something in the wind. There was something in the wind I couldn’t make sense of, but as I looked closer, I saw an image of myself, and he told me.
There is no way to stop the wind, for a human has acquired the power and memories of the gods. You will be sent back in time 16 years from now with the power and memories you have. Make use of it and change your world; I will be waiting for you in the future.
Bang bang bang. I jumped up from my bed and realised I was back in my former room before everything happened. Mr. Kim, Mr. Kim. Wake up! I have got a farm for you to work on.
I opened my door, and my best friend was waiting for me—a man who get the job for me. I smiled and told him, “Prepare yourself for battle.”
I was a little disappointed to learn that it was all a dream. Was it a premonition of the future or was the protagonist simply thinking about what would possibly happen?

It was said that he would be returned back in time after acquiring the power and knowledge. He only has one year to prepare for the arrival of the overseers
It was so real that I thought it was happening. I was shocked when the end was a dream.
It was a work of fantasy that in the end turned out to be a dream of what the prpotagonist of the story wanted.

A strange and premonitory dream. The future was revealed to the protagonist on tour in a surreal fantasy story and when he woke up, what he dreamed of began to come true. Entertaining story

At the moment when he moved closer towards the statue I thought he would Kill them one after the other and reclaim their freedom but it took another turn

I was gonna do that but the story would end there so let’s prepare for war
Now I'm glad all these magic and enchantments weren't just a dream. I just wish there could be something like a sequel so I find out how he made use of the power and the battle that would ensue. This was lovely to read.

You work in this story in an unreal scenario, similar to that of electronic games. Everything can happen in those scenarios, like in interrupted dreams, where there is no solution that leaves the reader satisfied.
