Mrs Friday had travelled to clear her papers as she will be finalizing her master's degree program in one one of the state Universities. You have a fast-paced tale here, with a strong arc. You provide background for the characters so we understand motivation. Your explanation for how David gets away is credible. And, your use of the prompt is very good.
There are some issues with grammar and usage. Chief among these is the word 'raven'. It seems you probably meant to say 'ravine'. The story was just a bit confusing with that but still we were able to follow the action and worry about David's well-being.
