RE: The man who did not know

in The Ink Well3 years ago

For some silly reason when I got to the part where the goat first came on the scene, I was convinced the goat was going to off him somehow, like head-butt or who knows what. (Shows how much I know about mountain climbing.) When all the other signs of nature were helpful, not sure why the goat seemed some malicious to me. Ha. In that picture he looks like the peaceful loner that he is meant to be.

It pains me that anyone would have to leave their newly acquired Victorian home and loving dog. I trust the man that did not know had a nephew that will inherit and eagerly continue where he left off.

Mountain goats are generally peaceful but they are still wild animals and I was intruding on his territory in that picture. They are unlikely to resort to head-butting but they will definitely try to steal your food. As far as I know the greatest risk posed by goats is that they can dislodge rocks while they're poking around up high and when that happens any climbers beneath them are gonna get rained on.

I'm actually not sure, I didn't know him that well.
