Lonely Raod [Poem]

in The Ink Well12 days ago

On this path called life, a lot happens

Some, we understand, some we don't, some we know of, some we wonder what even happened.

Sometimes we never plan yet everything goes according to plan could be faith or destiny but it is not something that's woven by the hands of men.

It's hard not knowing what to expect when you know of nothing to begin with, I guess it all boils down to plans huh, what happens to all the unsuccessful ones?

Often we look forward to hope, that's the anchor a lot of us have on this lonely of life.

Love? Well that's one thing and finding it is another, we need partners but where are they, with all the preferences of everyone?

Sometimes we get to a point where we question the whole point of finding a partner when the said person also has the specs they desire, I mean, you could want a tall person and the person showing affection towards you is short.

You want a person who has it set in life, you want a princess's life, I want a king's life too. Now, who will be who to who?

A partner, that's what we should look for, a supportive one at that, just how loving would it be when you know that your partner has your back no matter what?

With all the stress we go through, wouldn't it be ideal to go home to meet the one who'll make you forget about all the ordeals you've been through the whole day?

A lot happens in a day, we lose people, children are born, and the circle continues which shows there's a lot at play in the universe.

Sometimes a man needs a shoulder to lean, a soft voice voice to tell how life will be easy and it will be alright to fail because it is life and no one makes it alive anyway.
