      Standing up in front of a class on the very first day can be parlyzing. That was an interesting twist to learn that the teacher was actually the boy's father.

        Teachers should never do that to kids, in my humble opinion! The "new kid" has enough of a challenge fitting in without being singled out and made to stand in front of everyone and provide an introduction. I remember sweating my way through such an experience as an adult! Anyway, you did a nice job of capturing Deku's flustered response.
