Every day I make sure I speak to Mom no matter how busy my day is, I always make time to talk to her.
I think it's lovely that you do. I've seen so many people grow so distant from their parents. In the belief that there's time, that their imagined independence is so much more important. Time with loved ones, though, always proves too short, in the end, so why make efforts to shorten it yourself? :)
I never understood not telling people about a death. I reckon people have the right to know what happens to their kin, right? Even if it's terrible. But maybe I'm wrong.
I'm not much of a fan of technology, but you're right, one thing it's done for us is keep us close, even when we're not, and I suppose it's a blessing. Hugs <3
It may seem we have all the time in the world but in reality, we don't. I try as much as possible to connect and bond with my parents while I still can.
You are not wrong at all. During that time in the village where I grew up, telling a person who will have to travel a few hours to our hometown straight away that they have lost someone dear to them is very hard, most times they took it too terribly. Because of this, some thought that it is better they got home before breaking such news to them.
Technology has its bad side, so I try to focus on the good side as much as I can. Without the internet and hive I won't have met someone who writes so beautifully like yourself and some others I have crossed part with here.
Thank you very much for stopping by, do have a great time !luv
