“I will report”, with a hard knock on the table, it was so hard that if the table wasn't a good one it would have been damaged. Gloria expressed her anger as one of the junior staff sat in front of her.
Could this be as a result of her pregnancy? Or she is just angry at the junior staff?
Her job is a stake and the fear of losing her job is what could be her anger.
So after experiencing such a scary drama Felix walked out to his stand where he serves people.
When you are in a place where you choose not to do illegal things just like other people do, the next move is to try to knock you out as your presence is a threat to them.
Felix sat with Mr Joe in the compound where he carried out his duties as usual.
Mr Joe is part of the senior staff. He has chosen Felix as a good friend. The reason behind his act best known to him Felix is one of the junior staff and by position he is not supposed to sit anywhere close to him.
But favour has found Felix in his sight.
“What will you do when You have been rejected in a place?” Mr Joe pop's out that question from nowhere expecting a sudden answer from Felix.
He took his bottle of groundnut, put some into his palm as he threw the seeds one after the other in his mouth.
Felix looked at him and responded with a question. Have you been rejected anywhere? Pretending not to know what is going on in the company.
Mr Joe laughed and said, my country will always answer questions with questions.
Felix smiled as he freely grabbed the bottle of groundnut taking a little out of it.
So, I asked first and I expect you to give an answer to my question. That question reflected Felix's mind back to the scenario when Gloria was expressing anger with some actions backing her loud voice in the office.
Still ignoring the question, Felix asked another question: was that the reason Miss Gloria was shouting earlier today?
Again Mr Joe smiled and said, “this boy” you want to dodge this question but you must give an answer to it.
Felix looked at the bottle of groundnut that had gone half way shaking his head, he stretched his hand once more to reach the bottle when he finally gave an answer.
“I will leave if I am being rejected in a place.”
Mr Joe smiled and said what if you stand your ground on what you are being rejected for when you know you are standing for the truth?
He pops out another question.
I responded, Sir , the truth they said is bitter and not everyone will withstand it. If you are standing for the truth I will suggest you stand well because failure to stand well might lead to a fall that you might not be able to rise again.
He smiled, tapped Felix on the shoulder and said the more reason why I will choose to share my problem with you.
But Sir, why are all these happening?
Felix asked out of curiosity, he responded and said what I did is clearly against the company's policy but it's a win to my end the least is that the company will lay me off, thank God I didn't steal from them.
Just get ready, you might be my replacement.
Sir, I don't wish to replace you in such a situation. Felix responded I only will be glad to replace your position when you are being elevated from this current position to another that is greater than this.
He smiled and said whatever the case may be you are too good and if I am laid off I will make sure you take my position and if not you will still be my right hand man they both smiled as he walked away from Felix’s stand.
Now the company's policy states that two staff must not get married as one is to resign if such must happen.
Mr Joe found himself in a tight corner as Miss Gloria is pregnant for him which is clearly against the company's policy in this case the both are been set up by their colleagues who has engaged themselves in some illegal activities which is not supported by both Mr Joe and Miss Gloria so the best form to do away with them is by reporting them to the head office for violation of company's rule. As that seems the only way to get rid of them.
But then Miss Gloria was bent on reporting some of these illegal activities to the head office as a form of pay back but that would have caused a more hazardous conflict so Mr Joe asked Gloria to lay low and Allow the head office do what they feel is the best and for their colleagues.
Karma is real and that's what we should report their case to. Mr Joe suggested.
We have come to stay even with or without the work. I could feel some strong hearted people love each other to an extent that they refuse anything to come in between them.
It later came to an end when the company decided to bridge that rule as they encouraged staff to marry each other and that's the beginning of another chaos for people who will always do Illegal things. How will they perpetuate their act when their mission was not accomplished? I think karma has taken up the case.
Miss Gloria “ since they couldn't send me away I will send them back to their villages. They laughed at that statement as she altered again. I leave them in the hands of Karma. I believe it will make the fight better for me.
Now Mr Joe and his wife have their jobs, the most important of all is that they have each other.
