RE: When the Bright Star Burned Out | Fiction

I love this story, @viceroyklayd. It's beautifully told, and heartbreaking. So many kids feel the pressure of their parents to perform. In this case, the boy is clearly brilliant, and can do anything with his life that he chooses, whether or not he meets his parents expectations. The story arc was very good, and the character development is excellent. What a wonderful ending, when the mother comes to understand the role she is playing in his unhappiness.

Thank you for the feedback, comments and thoughts about my story. I appreciate it and it will help me improve. I honestly had hard time writing it with the proper plot because I'm used to flash fiction. But I'm glad that I made it.

Funny, I’m used to writing longer short stories, so my challenge is writing succinct short stories or flash fiction. It’s great to try different things and flex your writing muscles. :^)
