A Warrior's Lamentations

Their tongue is Scissors
that hacks into our path
like a landslide
thoroughly belittling our faith
down to a mustard seed's size
and, their eyes,
a maleficent gaze
that reeks of havoc
anytime it flashes through
like a viper's stare
in the middle of noon

Aye! Our faith is little they say,
and our ways are alien,
our breathe stinks
like hopelessness,
and our desires are dwindling
like a candle swerving
disdainfully to the music of fatigue
when a little gush of breeze
comes tumbling through

In the many bloodless wars
we have fought,
our hands have been sullied,
by bloodless victims
and our nightmare
remembers every vividity
of crumbling flesh
and melting cries
and still, still yet
they brand us weaklings
in the face of adversity.

We have heard infant mutters,
in plain valleys
pleading to our stony hearts
but still, we wrote the script,
line by line without meandering
gradually evolving,
becoming the things
that crawls in growls
in many many fairytale.
sinking their fangs in children.

To survive "they say"
knows no conscience.
for we're free men
suffering no guilts
we're but blades
in gripping clutches
wielding us with dexterity
but deep beneath
our lies chokes us
and our soul burns in denial

Still, we retreat not,
seeing the heights,
of our transgressions,
piling up like sud,
frosting out of mugs
and flies buzzing forth
at the end we're just prisoners
trying to prove our vivacity
to scornful souls
looking down pitifully on us.
