Bella's life so far highlights the archetype of what happens when someone's Hope is beat down by reality. She had high hope of leaving the orphanage home as a kid. But lost all hope when she didn't get any adopters.
Some people in that position will rebel and blame the world for that. However, she chose to build herself up and prepare herself for how she would survive alone when she leaves the orphanage at 18. The goodnews though is that she left earlier than she expected, thanks to the family that came to adopt her.
They gave her opportunity to experience what it's like to have a family and she will always cherish that memory forever.
In a typical world, any lady that passes through that experience will surely be a very good Mum when she has kids of her own. I can already imagine how Bella runs her home. She will have it as a goal to be the perfect Wife to her husband and a perfect Mum to her kids. Hehe
That's right. Her hope got really pushed down when no one came for her despite making arrangements that they'll get her.
