Everyone was confused about the news they just heard. Looking at each other, they wondered if it was a prank. One could see the surprise on the faces of the guests.
Mary is a 25-year-old beautiful lady. She is fair, tall, and beautiful. Most of her friends call her Diamond because they believe her beauty is unrivaled. Mary is the only child of her parents. Mary loves reading and dancing. If you can't find Mary at home, then know that she has gone either to the dance studio or the library.
Mary works as an accountant for a law firm. She is well respected by her colleagues because of how friendly and respectful she is. Her boss, Mr. Fred, is always complimenting her for how mature Mary is.
David walks into Godson Solicitors. "Good morning, beautiful lady," he says as Mary walks into the office. Mary smiles and says, "Good morning, sir; welcome to Godson Solicitors". "How can I be of help to you?" Mary asks David. He looks at her with a smile. "I am captivated by your beauty," David says with a smile on his face. "Thank you for the compliment, Mary," replies David."I would love to take you out for dinner. Can I have your phone number?" David asked Mary. She gives him her business card and says, "Call me."
David and Mary are seated in a beautiful and cozy restaurant where they are having their dinner, and everything is going well. David says "I'm the most lucky man on earth to be sitting next to the most beautiful lady in the world". Mary looks at him and smiles. Well, you should thank my parents also," Mary says as she picks up her glass of wine.
"I will love to do this again," David says, and Mary looks at him and nods her head. They both boarded different taxis, and each of them relished the beautiful night they just had. I wish the night would not have ended.
David is a 35-year-old lawyer. He is tall and dark, with a husky voice and broad shoulders. He is smart and regarded as one of the best lawyers around.
Mary walks into her room, and she is surprised by the number of people in it. "What is going on? she asks, as she did not expect to see all her colleagues in her room and wondered what the special occasion was. David kneels and proposes to her. She thought for a while and said "We have known each other for just a month, but it seems like we have known each other for ages". Everyone claps, and she accepts the engagement ring, and they hug each other.
Mary introduces David to her parents during dinner. "This is the David I was telling you about". Her mom looks and shakes her head, and the father stands and leaves his dinner on the table. Mary's mom and dad are skeptical about David, but they decide to talk to her about it. Mary, I have a strange feeling about that young man you brought home yesterday," Mary's mom says. "Mom, I love him, and I want to marry him," Mary says with a smile. "I am not against your marriage, but I have this feeling that the guy isn't telling the truth about himself". Mary smiles and says to her mom "He is an amazing person, mom".
A month later, everyone is gathered at the chapel for the wedding ceremony between Mary and Card. Everyone is expecting the wedding to be a great and beautiful one. The bride arrives at the chapel, but she can't find the groom. "This "This is strange," Mary's father says. "The groom should have been here even before the bride arrived, he says with anger written all over his face. "Try calling him," Mary asks her mom. "His phone is off," she says with tears in her eyes. Mary looks at her mom and says, "Hope David has not ghosted me." Her mom looked at her and could not respond.
Mary receives an email and opens it: "I'm so sorry, Mary. I really wanted to marry you, but my wife just discovered our plans to wed, and she was threatening to file for divorce, and you know what that means. It was fun while we were together. Take care of yourself" Mary screams "All this while Davis was married, I should have listened to you, Mom".
Mary's father announced the situation at hand to everyone, and all were in shock and could not believe that David had a family.
That was really mean. 😪
He never cared about her, only his selfish needs.
Such ghosting isn't easy to recover from.

I don't like people like David. Cheating is not in my record. After making her prepared for the wedding, the result was not the best.

Lol though I'm not a lady, I don't think proceeding into marriage just 1 month after meeting is right...I'm glad she learnt her lesson. It's better the way she found out just before the marriage, than after the marriage. Thanks for the story
