In a certain period, within a compact neighborhood, among the inhabitants lived Tim. The boy was nice and gentle-hearted; he enjoyed aiding people. Living next door to him was his best friend Sarah with whom they were practically inseparable. In other words, whatever they did together ranged from playing around the park to tackling assignments.
One morning, an emergency occurred in Sarah’s family. Her dad got laid off which meant they could no longer afford rent payment. It is at this point when Tim realized how much worried Sarah was so he thought of what he could do for his friend.
Tim approached his parents and shared with them about the situation in Sarah’s family then asked if there was anything that could be done about it. His mother and father were happy because of their son’s desire to help a friend in need thus decided to talk over with her parents offering a loan until her dad gets another job.
The assistance of Tim and his family made Sarah’s family very thankful. They vowed to pay the money back whenever they could. Money wasn’t important to Tim; all he wanted was to help his friend.
Each day that passed by strengthened the bond between Tim and Sarah. They were always there for each other. True friendship, Tim found out, means being there for your friends when they need you most.
They grew older together as years went on. They attended school together and remained best friends. Even after helping Sarah’s family, the lesson which stuck with him over time was never forgotten by Tim. He continued helping others as often as possible.
Help was what Tim needed that day. The house of his family caught on fire and they lost everything. He was devastated but knew he needed to be strong for them. It was Sarah this time; one day it had been him helping her years ago.
Sarah and her family invited Tim and his family into their home. They let them stay there until they found a new place. Their kindness flooded over Tim like a tidal wave, making him realize that real friendship means being there for each other through thick and thin.
Sarah supported Tim and his family, which enabled them to get back on their feet. They found a different house, and always appreciated what Sarah did for them when they were most in need.
Since that time, Tim became more attached with Sarah. They were aware that regardless of the situation, they would standby each other. True friendship was discovered as being the best present ever given by one person to another.
