Exactly, hanging up the phone and ending it like that portrayed they do not really love each other, I know of a friend that did not allow genotype stop is marriage, love goes stronger than genotype problems. There wasn’t real love between them

You can't really say they didn't love each other. They did. The fact that Steve hid the results from her is one of the proof.
When we love people we try to protect them from the truth even though we know finding out will hurt them. We think by hiding it we are doing the right thing but we are only delaying the inevitable
For this couple, I think Steve should have waited and consulted the doctor. The doctor would have been in the right position to tell him what to do. Or they could have sought counseling
You can't really weigh these things by the thoughts of, "Oh, they didn't love each other". No, what happened here is that they were not rightly informed. Ignorance is a disease as it is.
Please love is not stronger than genotype problems, when you see children with sickle cell disease and the suffering they pass through as well as the economic and emotional burden it places on the family.
Thank you @mikechrist for your point. Well, we can't really say they didn't genuinely love each other. The medical cost to help couples with incompatible genotype not to have children with SC is very expensive.
