It was an unprecedented time in history,an event that only happens once in a lifetime.
A time when myth finally became reality, when professor Rok heard the news, he couldn't contain himself as he got on a direct flight to Egypt.
In a quiet sleepy town,the peace was broken by the sound of helicopters and police sirens headed to the site located on the outskirts of town.
As villagers woke,they all headed for the site too, trying to find out the cause of all the commotion.
They all knew strangers had a taken permission from the local police to dig up what was said to be an ancient temple ground.
The town elders had warned against letting strangers dig up the grounds, but where over ruled,legend had it that it was a place of Dark magic and sorcery.
As more people gathered, the clouds overhead darkened blocking out the last rays of sunshine.
As the archaeologists emerged from a hole dug deep into the ground of the temple.
A large winged figure dropped out of the sky unto the Grounds, shattering the caution tape ringed round the temple.
As it stood to it's full height, screams of terror burst from the crowd, as the scramble to get away ensued.
It figure with the top half of a man and the bottom half of an Eagle,as it hurtled towards the group of archaeologists, they all dove towards the ground in fear.
As it grabbed the newly excavated box, it flew off into the dark clouds, leaving all who were present doubting their sanity.
As professor Rok cleaned the dust off his slacks and looked at the sky, he smiled to himself as he mentally prepared, for the adventure of a lifetime.
In this short story is contained a set of ancient conceptions that degenerated into myths or legends but are held in the wisdom of the elders as true knowledge. Now everyone knows it because before their eyes it became true. Well written.Hello, @octaviusx.
