Joseph's New Home.

"Hey kids, your cousin Joseph is coming around today. I want you all to be on your best behavior and give him the warmest welcome." Mr. David said to all his kids just after morning devotion.

"But Dad, sorry to ask, why is he coming around? Any reason, or does he just want to come and see us?" Juliet asked out of curiosity and wondering why her cousin who no one has heard from in ages is coming to visit them.

"He just gained admission into college, and he would stay with us for a while before he leaves for school, as his school is just around the corner, and he will visit us from time to time. I want you guys to make him feel comfortable, and besides, does he need a reason to come see you guys?" Mr. David asked with a facial expression.

"No, Dad, we just haven't seen him in years, and we are surprised to hear that he is coming around." Juliet responded.

"Now everybody get to work cleaning up the house and mak it shiny and sparkling as we expect our guest." Mrs. David said.

The kids went about their house chores and ensured that the house was clean and in order before he arrived. Juliet was still not convinced about why he was visiting them all of a sudden; she felt like there was more to why Joseph was coming to stay in their place, and she really wanted to get to the bottom of it. She kept asking questions and trying to get answers, and maybe those answers will help do away with how curious she has become about her cousin's visit.

"But why do you feel Joseph is coming to our place? After his dad died years ago, he has been off-grid, and no one has really heard from him or knew his way about, and all of a sudden he is coming to see us all because he gained admission into college? All these do not add up; make it make sense." Juliet asked her sister Mary while they were busy cleaning the house.

"I know you do have trust issues, but not taking Dad for his word is the height of it. You mean there is something else, and Dad is not saying it, or what are you trying to say?" Mary asked, giving Juliet her full attention.

"It is not like I do not trust Dad or take him for his word; it is just that I feel they are hiding the main reason for Joseph's visit; there has to be more to his visit." Juliet insisted with so much confidence.

"Then keep digging, Agent Juliet," Mary teased. "I am out of here. He must be the one knocking; you better keep your curiosity to yourself and not cause him to feel unwelcome." Mary advised as she left to confirm if the person at the door was Joseph.

Joseph walked in, and everyone rushed to greet him. He was looking really tired and frustrated and had very red eyes, and that alone made Juliet more curious as to why it was so. "Everyone, come to the sitting room; I have something I would like us to talk about." Mr. David said after Joseph was given a warm welcome.

"I wonder what it is that Dad is about to say again." Juliet murmured.

"Why are you being so grumpy today? You want to complain about everything and not take people for their words." Mary responded with a tone as they both entered the sitting room.

"Joseph here is my brother's son; a tragic event befell him last week that caused the death of his only surviving parent, and so for that reason he will be living with us and will now be a part of our family. He gained admission to the university just across the street, which means he will be coming around more often, and everyone has to open their heart and accept him." Mr. David said as his wife goes to the kitchen to get Joseph food.

"I knew there was more to his visit; I should join the FBI." Juliet whispered.

"Thank you very much for the warm welcome and for letting me into your home. I really appreciate it." Joseph said

"So feel at home." Mr. David responded.

"Ohhh no are those strawberries?! Do not be offended, ma'am; please take it out; it is my kryptonite." Joseph said after setting his eyes on the food put before him.

"I am really sorry about that; I did not know." Mrs. David said as she took the fish out.
