ALL THINGS MUST PASS

Must the sun rise at break of day
Spill here and there an errant ray?
How the wind blows high and low
And make adamant clouds to bow?

How long can a rain stop a lullaby
When transient time is passing by?
Will the southwind bellow fast then
Before in summer it comes to end?

I never doubted the sea is so deep
But I made promises I have to keep
And never will my refute be wasted
When my end knocks black vested

Each day I see hope mirthly mount
And woes I am hard pressed to count
This whining won't drive the rain
My soul is tempered in every pain

When I will be ninety I do not care
These quiddities of life surely bare
Some fun, some sad are there to pass
Under a blue sky Virgilio nothing last.
