Yesterday, 21st April 2023 was indeed a great day for me despite all obstacles that came my way. God gave me a reason to smile.

I remember how I cried and questioned God for allowing me go through everything I went through when i couldn't graduate and celebrate with my level mates at my supposed convocation ceremony last two years because I had financial challenges.

I was owing two years school fees during that time and that made it impossible for my name to be on the list of graduating students.

My dad felt so bad when a neighbor of mine who was in my level and also my course mate came to invite my parents to her convocation ceremony.
" Auguster, Ruth came to invite your mother and I for her convocation ceremony
My child I'm sorry we couldn't raise money for your fees, you could have been among those celebrating their convocation
" It's okay Dad I will definitely celebrate
" Yes you will, as long as I'm alive you must complete your studies.

My dad did everything he could to raise me money which he did and I paid what I was owing but it was already too late so I still had to wait for the next set to graduate.

Unfortunately, I lost him on December 14th 2022. While on my way to school, thoughts of him came to mind and I just couldn't hold back the tears that kept rolling down.

At a point, I had to call my mum on phone because I needed to talk to someone.
" Mum thoughts of dad just came to mind, I miss him
" Have you been crying
" You don't have to cry on this special day, your dad would have wanted you to be happy and smiling, not to cry because you can't see him, you should be happy because I know he is happy and proud.
" Thanks mum, I'm heading to school now
" Please take care of yourself and be happy
" I will mum, I said and wiped my tears.
I felt better after talking to her.

He could have been so proud, He would have been very happy that his daughter finally made it, I thought to myself.

Dad, I'm so happy you pushed me this far even though death took you at the brink of my long awaited celebration.
I know you are proud of me. I hope you are happy in your grave. Hope to meet you on the resurrection morning. I miss you dad and I love you.

I am grateful to God who made it possible for me to attain the great feat and am so delighted to say, I made my parents proud.

That was so sad. He tried his best but couldn't witness the day of your convocation ceremony. I believe he is happy knowing his daughter ended well from school.

So disheartening that he couldn't witnessed the day. But in everytime give thanks. It's a thing of joy that you are now a graduate.Wish you the best in life
