Some say love is beautiful, some say love is the sweetest thing that can ever happen to you. But do one have to displease self just to make the other feel better?.
All these questions kept coming to Hannah's head as she was looking for solution to what she's feeling.
My heart keeps on beating whenever I see him pass by, is this what love really mean or am I over exaggerating? Why can't I just be myself when I'm around him? Does he even notice my present or what? Hannah would say to herself
Ever since Hannah moved in to a new community far from her previous home just because her mother was transferred from work, she met Harrison while she was packing her things from the car. Harrison welcomed her to the neighborhood and he was very nice to her. For the first time Hannah felt something within her but she couldn't explain what it was exactly. She was happy she made a new friend from the neighborhood and he was nice and calm.
Harrison had been staying in the neighborhood for the past five years and he knew everywhere around the neighborhood. Many people had known Harrison to be a play boy, he has never been serious with any girl, but he's good at getting what he wants. He never fails whenever he's ready to get down with any girl.
Hannah coming to the neighborhood was actually an opportunity for him to meet with another fine girl, but all he wanted was to have fun with her. Hannah had to start school which she found so hard to adapt because she had always been the shy type and never ready to association with people, but Harrison by her side changed everything for her. Harrison made her believed she was special to him and she became much more comfortable around him.
Harrison was at the coffee shop with his friends and he has bet with them to have Hannah fall for him. They were laughing when Hannah walked in to get a cup of coffee for herself. Harrison immediately walked towards her and complimented her beauty and her smile, she felt so shy and comfortable with his nice compliments.
Harrison told Hannah what every other girls would love to hear, she remembered him telling her how he would love to be with her and how he felt since the first time she came into the neighborhood. Hannah told him she needed sometime to think about it but deep down within her, she wanted him too.
Everyday she kept on thinking about him, the way he smiles, the way he held her hands the first day he invited her for a party and everything seems so beautiful to her. With time, they both started dating and Hannah became fond of him. They literally go out together and they did many things together.
Several weeks passed but Hannah still feel happy around her boyfriend, she finally decided to give herself to him not minding what will be the outcome. Being her first time, Harrison made it special for her, he prepared the room with nice and colourful roses 🌹🌹, with candles round the room and roses on the bed and also playing a cool music. She felt so happy when she entered the room, she couldn't get her eyes off him as she felt so special around him.
Hannah woke up the next day feeling so excited and happy, she quickly dressed up for school so she could meet the love of her life. Getting to school, she saw her beloved boyfriend and his friends, she quickly went to meet him and she kissed him, but he behaved strangely towards her, she asked him if everything was okay and he said he was fine. At that moment Harrison was already in love with her, he tried to control his feelings just to make his friends think he's the hottest play boy in school who can get whatever he wants.
Harrison friend revealed the secret to Hannah that the reason Harrison couldn't be with her anymore was because he bet to sleep with her, she was shock and got ashamed of herself, she quickly ran away crying profusely, feeling so betrayed and used. Harrison felt bad but couldn't run after her, he didn't want his friends to know how he feels about Hannah, he didn't what them to know that the big mighty Harrison who everyone knows to be a play boy is in love with a girl, so instead he stayed back.
She cried all day, her mother tried to comfort her but her heart was already broken by her first love. She started loosing concentration in school and her grade dropped, she tried to kill herself several times but didn't succeed. It seemed as if God has given her an opportunity to live her life again, she decided to move on and forget about Harrison. She met new friends who influenced her in a positive way, she had been avoiding Harrison for a very long time now, she believes that's the only way she can move on.
Harrison had been looking for a way to get her back, he called her on several occasions but she refused to pick his calls or even respond to his text messages, he tried visiting her but wasn't allowed into the house by her mother. Though Harrison had bet to sleep with Hannah but he never knew he would fall so deep with her. He kept on remembering everything they had in the past, he couldn't control his emotions anymore so he started drinking but drinking didn't solve the problem, it only got worse.
He decided to admit to his friends that he was in love with Hannah and what they had was special and everything meant a lot to him. His friends looking so surprised laughed at him and told him to move on with his life, but he couldn't. He looked for a way to get back to Hannah, but it seems his efforts was not working out for him. He later met with Hannah's mother and explain everything to her, she had pity on him and decided to help him out since he was in love with her daughter.
After some days, Hannah and Harrison got back together, they looked so happy together although Harrison had never pictured himself to be in love with anybody. He then realized that love is a beautiful thing though there might be problems on the way, but love conquers all things.

Coincidently, your interesting story happened in real life to my friend In Vietnam :). They were in love after a bet and have been married after 4 years dating. At first non of us believed he loves her because he was a bad play boy! You were right LOVE CONQUERS ALL!

Young love can be so dramatic! Good thing Harrison finally came to his senses, or he would have been destined to spend his life in shallow and meaningless relationships.
Harrison did well by admitting that he was also in love with her and it was bold of him to look for his beloved and asked for her forgiveness if not his life would have been a miserable one.

Glad that Harrison grew out of that childish behavior and bad friends to follow his heart. I'm sure Hannah changed him and will keep changing him for the better.
I wouldn't say either of them displeased themselves. They both experienced and grew, the happy ending (which usually isn't happy in similar stories) makes it more so.

This is a really good story. I enjoyed reading it.. This actually doesn't happen only in movies though.. I have seen this happen to a friend.
I keep asking myself why guys would always bet on silly things. Why bet on a woman's pride? I'm happy that he was able to realize his mistake asked her for forgiveness.
Guess the love he has for her was so strong.
