I am New in this vicinity and just arrived one hour and thirty minutes ago. I only wanted to rest for a while and noticed I had slept for an hour. “I need to eat something quick and I won't lie to you as I can't cook anything at present and it will take forty-five minutes before the ordered food will arrive so let me use the opportunity to walk around”, I concluded and stepping out of the building, I met this young man who came to me and introduced himself as Kenneth and said that he is a neighbor and point his building position from farther.

He asked,” Why are you outside” I used the opportunity to hint to him about the fast food stuff and he said “Great, I am also going to Nneka hotspot restaurant, this is my second time going there” and I asked if it was around and he said it is just right at the corner after the street. Getting there, I saw “ Nneka native dish only” designed at the top of the bungalow's entrance.
Stepping in and sitting down, an attendant walked up to ask for my order with their list, and after she left, I looked at Kenneth, whose reaction triggered me to look in his direction. He moves his head towards the last corner of the building, where a lady moved through; Kenneth opens his bulgy eyes and tracks this lady as she walks towards us. I look at her; this should be Nneka; she is an elegant lady with classic taste. She looked clean from head to toe which crowns her beauty. I suspected her to be hardworking as she also helped the attendants to ease the pressure. From my perspective, apart from the delicious meal, most men that patronize here want either her or her attendance but looking at her, she will not settle for less.

I collected my order, which consisted of a potion of Amala, gbegiri, ewedu ( Yam flour swallow, beans soup, jute leaves soup ), pepper soup with pork, and another portion of bacon. Kenneth ordered Akpu ( pounded starchy paste ) and melon soup with Itse Ewu which means goat head. We paid and left, as we were going home, I said “ Kenneth, I think you like Nneka, why can't you hold the bull by the horns, by collecting her contact for a start “ but Kenneth denied saying no that he didn't want her and he only just appreciate her and that was all then we exchanged contact and left for separate ways.

A month after, I visited Nneka, and on my way back, I saw Kenneth who noticed I was coming from the Nneka hotspot restaurant and asked “Hope it is not Nneka spot you are coming from” and I answered yes and he said” Argg!!, I should have told you earlier, people now abstain from eating from her spot nowadays because of last week's incident “ and I asked “ what happened last week ?“ and he continues, “ I was there last week when three different people complained they saw cockroach in their soup and after leaving there, I saw a clergy who told me to stay away from her food that she put something like voodoo in her food which brings good luck to her and bad luck to the customers and again what she puts is what make people troop in and out of her restaurant “ he concluded.

This was too much for me to comprehend as I knew Kenneth introduced me to Nneka’s hotspot. Then I asked worriedly, “What did Nneka say after she found out about the cockroaches ?” Kenneth blurted, “She shouted at everyone and ordered us to leave the restaurant. That Nneka lady has pride and she is not even beautiful, butts she didn't have and her front side is flat like slate “ he concluded and immediately I heard all this, I said to him “ thanks for the update, I will catch you later” and I left knowing where the problem rooted from.

I don't know, but I think Nneka must have turned Kenneth's overture towards her down, and I think it was what bore the sudden hatred. I said to myself as I step in “ Is it, not Kenneth that I saw myself that was lust over Nneka and Is it, not Nneka that I confirmed myself as a modest lady, with an attractive body look who is hardworking and thrive to give customers top-notch service rendering is now shapeless, ugly and evil” then I answered myself knowing that it must be Kenneth’s bullshit, not mine, and secondly with the population of people I found there when I went to get the food, it must be a sour grape “ I concluded and said "my Nigeria people" and after shaking my head, I ate my food without thinking twice.

Thanks for reading through.

Customer reviews are very important to boost one's sale... Nneka should have done better.

You are right, thanks for the comment.

Some people are like that ,if you turn them down after asking you out, they will become angry and might end up spoiling your name just to feel alright

You are right and such is life. Thanks for the comment.

For any business to grow it actually depends on the customer's review and recommendations, bud sadly many business owners don't know that..

You are right from that perspective. Thanks for the comment. Such things happen.
