Enjoy reading!

That day, Syla was sitting at her desk and waiting for her literature class. A few of her immature friends who look down on people, approached her as always.
"You think too much, big-nose philosopher"
Whole classroom started to laugh. Syla's classmates weren't only people who say these things. Her alcoholic family was saying that she is ugly and loser as fate. She got used to it, but she felt a deep sadness that day. Even though she had a good heart, she questioned why they were acting like this. She got up from her desk and went down to the basement of the school, where she could be alone without being seen, because she was offended by both her family and classmates.

In the long corridor of the basement, it was not completely dark, the walls were damp and there was no sound. It was like a horror movie scene. Syla was so broken that she wasn't afraid of the corridor. She started to move forward with tears in her eyes. About a minute later, she saw an obscure door in the dark. It was a grungy metal door with a little glass on it. It was looking a bit old, there was a sign on the door that says "Escape from reality."
"what's it got to do with it?" she thought.
When she looked through the glass window of the door, the inside looked pitch black. Curiosity filled her, she thought it was a storage room or something. She lowered the handle of the door, it was hard at first because it was stuck. After a few tries she opened it. It was pitch black inside.
“What could it be?” she thought, while taking a step. She was suddenly pulled in and everything went dark.

When Syla woke up, there was a colorful sight on the lush green grass. The bright grass was soothing, as if hugging her. Daisies, lilacs, and pink blossoms of peach trees filled the lawn. Mango trees have shed their fruit and blossomed. Colors were in harmony with each other in this place. There were pleasant floral scents around, like a perfume. The sky was a vibrant blue, with light clouds. Butterflies and dragonflies were singing, and caterpillars were dancing. The weather was neither too hot nor too cold, it was perfect and clean. Lying on the ground with her hair disheveled, Syla was shocked. She saw a young man right next to him.
“Hey, stranger, who are you, where is this place?” she asked.
The stranger smiled.
"This is a universe where good-hearted and unloved people flee, you are lucky because you have found it."
Syla was still confused.
“How so?” she said.
"I'll tell you," said the stranger.
They went to a beach with turquoise waters to talk and meet. It was like the sun was always directly overhead here and the time wasn't flowing. There was a light wind. The scents of beautiful colorful flowers were still coming to their noses. She didn't know that she won't go back and live here happily ever after.

Thanks for reading.

Awesome storyline PawPawCat, ending was a little abrupt hahahahaha, leaves us on the edge of our seat!
"She saw a young man right next to him." should be right next to 'her' @pawpawcat...
Was he 'sitting' right next to her?

@pawpawcat...

Thanks for your beautiful comment :) 🌸

Short and concise story @pawpawcat

Syla escaped the familiar reality and, feeling sad, decided to take a course that would take her to an unknown place. In this new place everything was wonderful. Her ugliness was not noticeable, only her good heart.

Apparently she got the appreciation of another person..... we don't know if she stays in that fantastic world.....

Thanks for your comment :) In the new universe she is happier, maybe there are another problems there, who knows?

I was drawn in by the words of Syla's classmates you described as friends.

"I'll tell you," said the stranger.

I thought the story was only beginning, apparently it ended.

The corridor that was scary turned out to be home of the most amazing secret.

I would continue if it wasn't short story challenge😊 thanks for your comment:)
