The blind date

I told you I don't like going on a blind date; I'm not a fan of it.
I and Faith have been on the phone for hours, and I don't know why she keeps setting up these stupid blind dates after I have turned down almost everything she has set up.

Faith: "So, babes, please don't turn this one down."
Tina: "Look, Faith, I already told you I don't like this blind date thing." How else do you want me to explain that to you?
Faith: Just tell me you want to remain single forever, and I will understand. It won't kill you to just go on one blind date, and if it doesn't work out, I won't bug you anymore.
Tina: "Just this one, and don't ever disturb me with any other one again." I've got to go. (end call)

Well, it hasn't always been like that. I had a relationship before, the kind of relationship that anyone would wish for, but everything ended in a way that no one would ever imagine. He came to my house that day and told me he wanted to end the relationship for no good reason, and he made me leave. I ran after him, only to find him leaving in a car with another woman. I've been so heartbroken ever since I didn't get into another relationship. I just focused on work and food. Now faith is on my neck to get into a relationship, as I am not getting any younger.

Before the day of the blind date, Faith made us go shopping because I needed new clothes.
She was overdoing this thing, I said to myself, but I still allowed her to do her thing. We bought the cloth, and we left.

I went to the address location she sent me, and when I got there, it was kind of hard for me to find the person, so I just placed a call to the number Faith had sent me, and he picked up after the second ring.
Tina: Hello, this is Tina speaking. Faith asked me to meet you at Paradise Lounge, and I'm already there.
unknown: Oh, okay, just wait at the entrance, and I will come pick you up.
Tina: "Okay, I will be waiting."

I was waiting when I felt someone tap my shoulder from the back, and when I turned, I met a very handsome young man. I couldn't help but drool, but he was cute anyway. He led me to where he was sitting, and we ordered a drink while we talked. I found out his name was Lucas, and he was fun to be with. We talked a lot and promised to see each other again.

Thanks for reading.

Although the main character is described nicely, and there is a resolution... This story feels unresolved. Keep in mind, our recommended story length is 700-1000 words, it is difficult to establish a solid arc under that word count. Thank you for sharing your story with us, and for your engagement with other members of the community.

Faith's good at matchmaking.
And Tina is lucky to have found Lucas. Hopefully this means well for them.

Hmmm.... Now you like this after wanting to reject it.
It's nice story but short. Well-done...

I have never been on a blind date. I will be too anxious to enjoy one, I think. Thank you for sharing!

I'm all about getting to know the person first, before I give them a date, but it's good to know that Lucas likes me.

Blind date... Hmmm. Some get it good there while others don't.

Thank you for sharing.

I've never been a fan of blind dates but you give a good description

lol thanks for reading

GreetingsHello @pearlsuddy. What a great story I just wanted to continue reading and find out more about the blind date, because it seemed to start off very well, at least for Tina.
