This unabashed passion in my soul
demands to be released, to be expressed,
to be heard, to be acknowledged,
to be seen, to be known,
to be BOLD! To MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

But insecurity quakes in abject fear.
It does not want to be seen. To be known.
It's not safe. It's too risky.
What if... no one... ever cares?
It is better to be small and insignificant.

And on and on they battle,
Passion often winning by sheer force of will,
but Fear steeled with the wiry strength of desperation.
Will there ever be a victor?
Or will the plain of my soul be a lifelong battlefield?

No. It won't.
Fear must bow to perfect love.
I am sufficient. I am qualified.
I will speak love. I will speak truth.
Christ in me is more than enough.
