"Hello, your application has been received; kindly come for the interview on Monday; the time and location will be sent to your mail. We will be expecting to see you on Monday", says the caller.
"Hello! Oh, he hung up already. What application is he talking about and what interview? I guess he made a mistake", Tolani said to herself as she hissed and opened the door to her house. She just returned from the market.
On Monday morning, Tolani received another call from the caller again. "Hello, we are expecting you; I believe you got the mail sent to you. Please do well to come", the caller said and hung up.
"These scammers would not stop to amaze me. Is this their new way of defrauding people? It's unfortunate, that I cannot be your victim", Tolani said as she headed out to a shop where she works as a sales representative.
After returning home from the shop that Monday evening, Tolani decided to put a call through to the number that called her earlier to explain to the caller that she hadn't written any application.
"Good afternoon, sir; you called me earlier this morning to remind me about an interview and an application submitted. You also said you sent an email to me, but I didn't receive any mail from you stating the location or time for an interview. Definitely, you are a scammer", Tolani said harshly.
"Madam, you might be mistaken, I am not a scammer as you thought. I am a recruiting officer, that's why I called you, or am I not speaking with Miss Joshua Favor?", the caller said.
"Oh, you are not; I am Tolani, not Favor; it's obvious you dialed the wrong number and sent the mail to the right person. Kindly get back to the right person thank you", Tolani said.
"I'm sorry, madam; I must have dialed your number accidentally I was so busy on Friday when I first made the call. It was a butt dial as I was contacting some of the selected individuals for an interview in our company. Your number was part of those I called on Friday that was why I called you back today to remind you. I am sorry about the inconvenience. I am Felix; nice to meet you, Tolani", the caller, who is now introduced as Felix, said.
"No problem Mr Felix, the pleasure is mine", Tolani said as she hung up.
"Uhm! She hung up already, Tolani, what a beautiful name; I'm sure she will be beautiful just as her name sounds great", Felix said with a smile. Two days later, in the evening, Felix called Tolani again.
"Hello, who is this?, Tolani asked.
"Miss or Mrs Tolani, you didn't save my digit? I am a friend", Felix replied.
"I'm a mess, and who is this? Wait a second, Felix? Am I right?", Tolani asked.
"You got it right, momma, here is Felix; how have you been? Was a bit busy yesterday, couldn't give you a call", Felix explained.
"It's okay; it's not as if you owe me a call, so why should I be annoyed?" Tolani replied.
Yes, you are right, I might not owe you a call, but you owe me your beautiful voice; I want to listen to it over and over again", Felix teased.
"Come off it Felix, I'm not buying that. How was your day at work today? And have you eaten?", Tolani asked.
"Aw, what a caring lady you are; well, my day went well, although it was a bit stressful, and for the food, I'm still thinking of what to cook. You know Bachelor's lifestyle", Felix said jokingly.
"That should remind you that it's time to get married; once you are married, you won't stress about cooking", Tolani replied with a smile.
"Okay, mummy Tolani, I will think about that, so tell me, how was your day at work today, and where do you work?" Felix asked.
"It was stressful as usual. I work at a store as a sales representative, and you know how tasking that can be", Tolani explained.
"I can imagine, sorry mummy", Felix said with a smile.
"Don't call me mummy, please; don't make me feel old," Tolani said.
"That should remind you also that you are grown enough for marriage; it's high time we start calling you mummy," Felix said jokingly.
"I am not ready, so please, don't bother me with that, Daddy Felix", Tolani said, and both smiled.
"What's your discipline and qualification? if you don't mind?" Felix asked Tolani.
"Business administration and I'm a BSc holder, second class upper, so you know I'm an intelligent lady," Tolani said jokingly.
"Oh indeed madam, you are sure intelligent. You mind sending me your electronic Curriculum Vitae, let me see what I can do about it", Felix said.
Mind ke (mind as how) I don't mind at all, Daddy Felix; I will be glad if you can help", Tolani said.
"So are we friends now madam? And would you please save my number? I will message you on WhatsApp so that we can talk more", Felix said.
"Come on, I will and I will be expecting your message", Tolani replied.
"No problem, I will do that right away, take good care of yourself for me. Don't protest because I already know what your response will be", Felix said and hung up.
"He hung up, oh my! This guy is a clown. I would be glad if he could help me with the employment. He already messaged me; let me quickly send the Curriculum vitae to him. First thing first", Tolani said as she smiled at her screen.
The two began to speak frequently, and a month later Felix was able to secure a job for Tolani in their second branch in the same city. From a misdialed call to friends, both Felix and Tolani became best of friends.
Thanks for your time and your comments will be appreciated.

Awwww, this is interesting. Who would have thought that most times I dial the wrong number, its always old men that pick up the call?
I hope they meet and sail the ship.
