There was a man in our organization which we called Prince Adeoye. He was very good at his duty. Hard-working guy. His wife and children were living in another state because she was also working to support her husband. Prince Adeoye used to travel on weekends to spend time with them. Normally, we were to work from Monday-Frida weekly according to our letter of engagement. Prince Adeoye's job description was a data entry clerk, and without his capture of a client, no one would dispense drugs to the patient. At times he used to stay behind in case of emergency.

Meanwhile, a health worker's job is to save lives. One day, he got a call from his children's school that one of the children had been rushed to the hospital, and his attention was needed as a father because the child needed a blood transfusion and it was his only blood that matched the sick child.

As he was preparing to visit his dearest child in the ward, first of all, he contacted his supervisor “Madam Yemi” to inform her about the new development.

“Oh, how did it happen?” Madam Yemi asked. Afterward, she advised him to go on time. Thank God today is Friday! She said.

Prince Adeoye was about to leave office and one of the friends of the state program officer called that he had a friend who needed the attention of Prince Adeoye in the hospital.

“Sir, can he wait for me till Monday morning because I am already on my way out?” Prince Adeiye responded.

“What? What do you mean? I told you that a friend of mine is coming to you for drugs and you are telling me all these scraps. Don't go, he is already on his way to your office. All else you can find yourself in hot soup.” The man's threat.

Prince Adeoye didn't mind and he was headed to the hospital where his kid was rushed to. On getting there doctor said you are welcome. Yes, we summoned you in respect of your ward.

“Your child was rushed down to this place through school management. We discovered that he had a high temperature and by the time we checked his blood percentage, it was nineteen percent. So we need to give him blood now. We only need your consent and donor.” Said the physician.

Prince Adeoye said I am here now you can
collect my blood and give him. He was on this, a series of calls entering Prince Adeoye's phone.

Yes, hello. Who am I talking to? Adeoye responded.

The call was from the State program officer. She said how dear you, I was told that you refused to attend to prominent people in society. What was the reason that made you do that? Because of this, you are on a two-week suspension, and after that management will decide on your case.

“Ma’am, it was not like that, I was informed that my child was rushed to the hospital” Prince Adeoye lamented.

As he was trying to express himself, the call was dropped. After two weeks, returned to work. Suddenly, a staff handed over to him a letter to come to the head office. On getting there, management summoned him to the round table and probed him for his actions.

Some of them suggested he should go and his supervisor kicked against the idea.

No, it is good. He told me before he left. It can happen to anyone because we are all parents.

As they were arguing about whether to disengage him or not.

Prince Adeoye was disappointed and said that in his mind. Ah! With all my sacrifice and commitment to the success of this organization so this is how they will repay me.

Immediately, the state program officer said if Adeoye would continue to work with us, he must go, and beg my friend. If he can not do that he will have to excuse us. His superior rose and pleaded with her on his behalf. Adeoye is a very hardworking guy who has been able to do anything within his capacity for the success of this organization.

“Who has not been able to do it for this organization? He is too proud. Many people are looking for jobs outside.” Mr. Femi argued.

However, Prince Adeoye said okay. Everything is clear to me now. So I am working with enemies. Oh my God. I quit my position. This is my resignation letter. And he left the place. Everyone was shocked, including the State Program officer.

Supervisor nodded.
Can you see it now? We have provoked him.

“Don't go young man. We want you to face your work.” Ma’am said.
