Woahhhh I didn't expect that his mom would do that one. The change in his behavior was sure weird, but that palm oil soup was sure terrifying. That soul food idea was also something that exists here in our country. Some even use it to change the feelings and behavior of the person they like—so that they can like them back (it's basically like a love potion—only that it's a food). It's sad that his relationship with his parents didn't end well, but of 'course they brought that upon themselves.
