In the end you received a reward for your good deeds with your sister. When we are children we do not understand what life is like and the sacrifices that must be made for those around us, Then, as we mature, we understand many things and what seemed meaningless at that time later becomes valuable.

Exactly! I was really ignorant about our situation at that time, but now that I'm aware of our financial difficulties, that reluctant decision of mine has become important for me.
