Introducing Serendi Poetry ✨ Abrapalabra

We're currently attending an online Literature course and thoght, why not share some of what we've written so far?

We wanted to start this section with the very first short exploratory text written without structure in a free verse modality and it is basically a poem out of a poem, where we each took a verse from "Leo para estar vivo" (I read to be alive) by spanish writer Juan Farías and also relating arts to magic through venezuelan writer Luis Britto García's book "Abrapalabra" which comes from "Abra kadabra" but changing it for the word "WORD" in spanish, drawing upon the almost identical sound except for two letters.

From the verse "I read to hear voices, put light to shadows and make sense of the insomnia" (...) I think there's no better way to connect with our feelings but through arts; through arts we express everything we have inside and they make us capable of seeing further than what's in front of us. cc: María V. Franco

From te verse "I read books, the hands' touch, the frog's silence, the babies' sleep and the eyes of everything that scream, laugh, cry or keep composure" (...) as artists, I know we're conscious or unconsciously, in constant observation of everything and everyone around us; because everything and anything can be raw material for our art. cc: Valentina J. Salazar @Vjeanns

Abrapalabra

Art is magic and artists its instrument

You only need to feel to start making sense

Abrapalabra, nothing better than art to connect feelings

Abrapalabra, we manufacture raw material with just living

NOTE: this piece was adapted for the sake of rhymes in a different language than it was first created, yet the message we meant to deliver with our verses remains the same.

We hope you liked it, it's only a very short start in collaborative writing for poetry but we want to know your opinions and whether or not you'd like to keep reading what we come up with weekly. Sending light and love to the Hive community and we'll be posting a new music video shortly, so stay tuned! XO
