I agree with your first point. But maybe we all love to be like Jack. We never think of discovering anything by thinking about the universe. We prefer to live life only based on current situation. We may not have time to think about the future implications of this.

Exactly, the beginning may be a rational reflection of the dangers we face for discovering, but nevertheless discovering is so exciting that it traps us completely. Thank you for commenting, greetings and a big virtual hug.
