“Can I still stop this sleeping habit of mine?” Tobi was disappointed in himself for sleeping, forgetting what he had to do.
Tobi is a boy who has a life of sleeping in class and even in the midst of his friends. He can never leave to do any task ahead of him without sleeping. He was born with this same habit of sleeping. His mum has tried several places just to avert her son's condition, but all her efforts were left in vain.
“The wise one; how can you be of help to me? I have tried to put things in order, but my son's situation has not changed.” Tobi's mum was so anxious about knowing her son's condition and what she could do to change his part.
“Madam, just give some minutes, let me talk to the gods”, the wise one said as he began to incantate. He was surrounded by wind, just as if some spirits were around him.
Tobi's mum got afraid of what she had seen. After some minutes of incantation, the wise one turned to Tobi's mum; “your son's condition is as a result of what you had done to someone in the past”.
"But, the wise one, I have always been a quiet being right from my tender age to this moment ", she replied while thinking of some things she had done in the past.
“Just think properly, you will get what you have done to someone in the past”, the wise one replied as he took a glass of wine that contains coffee. He sipped some while he spat out some from his mouth saying “thank you, I give you thanks for revealing this to me”, he poured some and give to Tobi's mum. Although, he did it just to appease the gods.
Tobi's mum took it and drank it. “Madam, you can go home now. This portion you have taken can make you to have a little dream of what you had done in the past”, the wise one said as he smiled, praising the gods.
She went home and met Tobi sleeping like a koala. She looked at him and shook her head. At night, Tobi's mum went to bed. She slept off while sitting on the couch.
“Ha hahaha ......”, She laughed out loudly.
“What's causing your laughter?” Lami, her class mate asked.
“Can't you see Ibrahim with the way he always sleeps in the class?” She replied.
“Oh, that's his nature. He's always sleeping like this, even in his house. His parents are tired of his condition and decided to ignore him”, Lami explained clearly.
"No wonder he's always sleeping without ceasing. But then, his situation calls for laughing ", Tobi's mum said as she began to laugh a tempting laughing.
“Keep in laughing until you laugh to give birth to someone like me”, Ibrahim spoke out with a sleepy tone.
“"God forbid. No one can give birth to someone like your type", Tobi's mum said.
“How come he heard what we just said”, Lami said surprisingly.
“Don't worry, you will give birth to someone worse than me”, Ibrahim poured out his mind just as if he were cursing Tobi's mum.
“Ye… So it was a dream”, she got up at once. As the day got light up, she rushed to the wise one.
“I saw exactly what I had done in the past that led to giving birth to a sleeping son”, she said.
"I have seen it before you left here, but I wanted you to see it yourself ", the wise one said.
“What should I do to change this situation?” She asked.
“You just have to wait until there is an eclipse of the sun”, the wise one said, pouring out his coffee tasted drink in a glass cup. He poured it in his mouth as he sprayed it out from his mouth. He began to incantate.
“But, the wise one, when does this eclipse happen? Will it be anytime soon?” She was so eager to clear his son's situation for better.
“It will happen comes next Saturday, which is a week from now. When we are done with the rituals, you have to find Ibrahim and apologize to him”, the wise one said, sipping his coffee tasted drink.
When Tobi's mum got home, she saw Tobi sleeping as usual, even though she left some tasks for him to perform. Tobi failed to carry out those tasks instead went on sleeping.
It's another Saturday. They waited until the eclipse was up and started the rituals. After few minutes, the rituals were successfully carried out. She tried all means to get Ibrahim. When she saw him, he was sleeping as usual. “I came to apologize for what I had said to you back in our secondary school days”, Tobi looked confused with the evidence of sleep in his face. “Oh, I forgave you”, he said casually without knowing bordering to know more about why she's apologizing. Tobi's mum was so excited. Tobi's mum got home that day and saw Tobi awake and doing the house chores. “Wonders shall never cease to end”, she said as she was so surprised of what her eyes had seen. She was short of words and does not know how to explain the wonders the gods had done in the life of her son.
“All thanks to the gods for bringing joy in my face once again”, she said.

hehehehe, I am glad the curse was lifted, even ibrahim that placed the curse did not even know he did such.
This is why I always tell people to be careful of what they say because there is power in our tongue. Nice story. You wrote well, but your writing still needs some improvement. Keep it up and you will get better
