Everyone faces temptation in life but how we overcome temptation is what matters.
Sandra was just twelve years old when she dropped out of school...Sandra was known as the brightest student in school at her time, she was smart, hardworking, and dedicated as well. She was from a family of six, her parents were regarded as the poorest farmers living in the community, they could barely feed the family, it was so embarrassing because Sandra's family was always the talk of the town, it was either her father was arrested for being in debt or her mother fought in the market square with other women she borrowed items from. This made poor Sandra scared and afraid of expressing herself properly in the community. At this point, Sandra was sent out of the house to fare for herself, as much as she wanted to go back to school she had to become a maid but she promised herself to go back to school when she saves enough money.
Luck found Sandra when she accepted to work for Mrs. Steve as help, Mrs.steve paid her tuition fees till she finished secondary education, Sandra was about to write her jamb examination into the university when the unexpected happened. oh! no! oh no! Sandra screamed out loud, crying with infused pain and agony. "My world has ended," said, Sandra. Mrs. Steve had just been confirmed dead.
After weeks of endless tears and pain, Sandra's examination result was out, Sandra smiled but deep down she was in agony, she was sad, she was in distress, no one to share in her joy, she had passed and gained admission into the university. She told her parents about her entry into the university and the bills she had to pay but they never showed concern. Sandra was confused about what to do as she was in great need of money to pay her tuition fee...One faithful afternoon she decided to go to the market to get food items, unfortunately, the woman standing beside her left an envelope behind, Sandra picks the envelope and runs after the lady but she had already left the shopping premises. she decides to open the envelope to view the content, she jumped up from her bed with great speed and locked her door "what am I seeing" she said to herself "has God decided to wipe my tears, this is a lot of money" she said.
For weeks Sandra was confused she needed the money to pay for her tuition fees and registration portals were to close in two days...Sandra was tempted to use the money she had found in the envelope to pay her tuition fee. "besides the lady doesn't recognize me" she said out loud.
it was the last day of registration and she had decided to use the money she found, on her way to the bank she started crying because she wasn't a thief and she had promised herself to work very hard and to be diligent in all she does in life. she decides to look for the lady who owns the money.
So she went back to the shopping premises to make inquiries on how to locate the lady..luckily for Sandra, she saw that same woman there, the lady praised her for her good deed and decided to sponsor Sandra in the university.
Seven years had come and passed...Sandra graduated with distinctions and was given the scholarship to fly outside the country to further her master's program. Everyone in Sandra's community was surprised that something good could come out of the poorest farmer's household.
@sugarhrush In the end, the idea of honesty came to her mind, which was actually a sign from God, otherwise, Sendra would have blamed herself for the whole life of getting some money. Honesty changed her whole life.
