Life within a country side or a farm sounds like a perfect place for isolation making someone's appearance an event. Equally paradoxical is the fact that life among many people making someone's appearance uneventful allowing Larian to control any interaction or lack there of, of course.
This goes so well with the last paragraph, Larian getting rid of the one picture of a factor he can't control, at least not anymore. A factor that seems to disrupt his sought-after loneliness -or alone-ness, if that is a word- that he wishes to contain.
Such a deep and detailed story to what seems on a surface a simple action.
Amazing writing, friend.
